  • I Need A Mic Podcast Booth 4th Of July
    2025/07/05

We’re talking about building a stronger, more vibrant city through positive outlets that empower and inspire real change.

Our first guest was none other than a former mayor of Vallejo! What an incredible conversation I had with him—and a special shoutout to his amazing wife, the true backbone behind the scenes.

Next up, we welcomed Eric Martin, an author from my hometown of Richmond, CA. His powerful book, True Friendship Within the Youth of America, tackles one of the biggest issues we face today: stopping the violence among our youth. His message is heartfelt and his mission is clear—change starts with connection.

Want to learn more about Eric Martin or grab a copy of his book? Check out the info below!

  • I Need A Mic Podcast Interview with Sally. Interview Title: It Starts At Step One!
    2025/05/25

Our guest, Sally, courageously shared personal reflections, including his recent journey through mental health challenges. His openness and vulnerability served as a reminder that even in our darkest moments, light can emerge—often when we least expect it.

There is always a Ray of Sunshine—sometimes it's simply about knowing what your first step needs to be.

We closed today’s episode with a powerful quote that deeply resonated with Sally, and we hope it resonates with you as well.

”Things are falling into place. Everything is coming together exactly the way it should. Give yourself gift of patience. You are meant to make big leaps. Let self belief lead you to the right path. There is a struggle but there is victory too. Let setbacks be a source of learning.”

  • Transitioning After Healing
    2025/02/28

When I knew I was ready to heal from all of my trauma. I'd looked in my mirror and asked myself these questions. “Hey _____ what are we doing here? What is best for me to work on, what needs my uninvited attention? What is the first step to give this more attention? Yes I can do that, yes I will love to work on that, yes this needs more attention.”
