  • Phil Rosenthal is so nice!
    2026/01/26

In this episode, Momma Ashley is in the house! With the annual Snowmageddon coming to Dallas, Momma and Whitney are panic-shopping like it's pre-COVID with plans to cook all weekend. Courtney calls in from LA, chomping at the bit to hear Momma and Whitney recap their incredible meet-and-greet with Somebody Feed Phil creator Phil Rosenthal. Momma brought Phil her famous Pinch of Texas brownies while Whitney pitched him on coming to Hey Sis with his brother. They both can't stop gushing about how genuinely nice Phil was.

Courtney shares that she's deep in the emotional trenches of parenting her teenage daughters and wants to know from Momma if she and Whitney were "real mean" when they were teens. Momma's sage advice for those teenage years? "It's always about them and they don't want to do what you want to do. The sooner you learn that mommy, the better off you're going to be."

  • Divorce Boot Camp and Bathtub Beef
    2026/01/16

After paying tribute to the one-year anniversary of the Los Angeles fires last week, Courtney and Whitney finally circle back to their usual nonsense including questionable food, wood conundrums and the slow realization that everyone they know is either perimenopausal or allergic to something.

The sisters recap Christmas and NYE from Dallas to Broken Bow to Vegas, including bathtub braised short ribs, sea bass in tomato "Comcast," and why Caesar salad was banned during "Divorce Boot Camp!" Courtney shares highlights from a perimenopause documentary premiere involving monks, hormone replacement therapy, and a missed opportunity to yell "cougar puberty" in a packed theater. Whitney counters with walkie-talkie role play and the emotional toll of relinquishing menu control.

It's that time of year when the Texas mountain cedar is taking everyone down, including Momma Ashley. The sisters swap stories about Momma's outdoor nap that led to her yearly bout of laryngitis, but that won't stop her from calling both girls to check in despite having no voice.

  • From the Ashes, One Year Later
    2026/01/08

In honor of the one-year anniversary of the LA fires, we're replaying one of the most raw episodes we've ever recorded, captured in real time as Courtney was navigating the fires, divorce, and displacement. After the replay, we sit down together to reflect on what's changed, what's healed, and what she's learned about love, family, and resilience one year later.

  • Holiday Sweaters, Caroling & A Missing Vibrator
    2025/12/19

In the last episode of 2025, Courtney and Whitney are coordinating matching sweaters, planning holiday caroling routes, and discussing why their Momma Ashley needs a "find vibrator" post-it reminder.

They revisit last year's caroling outing, which started as an impromptu evening with family, and now seems to be turning into a neighborhood-wide production. Courtney imagines 40 people trying to squeeze onto a porch to sing Jingle Bells while Whitney envisions top hats and petticoats à la Charles Dickens era singing Holly and the Ivy. Together they devise a hilarious plan that will split the generations, spread some holiday cheer, and hopefully not piss off Momma Ashley.

Speaking of Momma…Whitney has Courtney ROFL when she shares how Momma recently confessed that she had lost Whitney's "vibrator" that she was using to ease her neck pain. The two sisters barely recover to thank all of the amazing listeners and supporters they've had throughout the year.

We'll leave you with a quote from The Ashley Family's favorite holiday movie…

"We're gonna have the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny fucking Kaye. And when Santa squeezes his fat white ass down that chimney tonight, he's gonna find the jolliest bunch of assholes this side of the nuthouse."

  • This Chocolate Life with Christina, Christopher, and Dan Abel Jr. of Bissinger's Chocolate
    2025/12/16

Courtney and Whitney step straight into a world of pure imagination when they welcome Christina, Dan, and Christopher Abel, the family behind the 350-year-old Bissinger's Chocolate legacy. The sisters learn what it was really like growing up in a working chocolate factory, from sneaking chocolate graham crackers off the line, bribing teachers with chocolate (allegedly), and surviving a chocolate conundrum when the factory floor ended up covered in 400 pounds of melted chocolate.

At the center of it all is their mom, the Matriarch of Sweetness, Momma Rosalie. Along with her husband Dan Sr., she started Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate, named for their three kids, before acquiring Bissinger's in 2019. She cooked 29 out of 30 nights, dressed up as the Easter Bunny when needed, and somehow built a family business that still eats lunch together every single day.

By the end, the sisters are planning a trip to St. Louis to eat chocolate and drink wine with the siblings at their latest venture The Chocolate Cafe. It's a tour through childhood memories, family loyalty, and the kind of success you only get when your Momma passes on the gift of sweetness.

  • Turkey Talk, Dressing Confessions, & Tryptophan Truths
    2025/12/05

This week, the sisters and Momma Ashley breakdown Thanksgiving 2025. In Dallas, Momma and Whitney go out for Thanksgiving for the first time ever while Courtney was in Los Angeles cooking up all of the Ashley Family faves for The Dads including an apricot 'mousse' that requires ingredients only found on eBay.

They compare notes on Momma's controversial Uncle Ben's dressing shortcut, Courtney's "perfectly fine" rotten orange cranberry relish, and Whitney's devotion to the Ross Geller–inspired moisture-maker sandwich. Momma also shares memories of her childhood Thanksgivings at Graham's house, where the adults didn't drink, the table could seat half of Dallas, and moving up from the kids' table basically required a divorce or a funeral.

Maybe it was the turkey tryptophan, but Courtney found herself channeling Granddaddy during a Thanksgiving meditation session, which sparks a full-blown assessment of spirits, signs, and who exactly is overseeing Courtney's love life. Tune in for a Thanksgiving recap that proves you're not the only one with a crazy family!"

  • Birthdays, Bondage Sets, and Bedside Tomatoes
    2025/12/03

The sisters are finally catching their breath after pulling off what might be Whitney's most ambitious idea yet: turning her house into a full 1920s speakeasy for Lance's 50th. Whitney admits there was no way she and Lance could have managed it without Courtney, her college bestie Amber, and Amber's husband Bruno coming to town to move furniture, crank out dozens of floral arrangements, and still find the energy to party until almost 4 a.m.

They barely recover before shifting into Thanksgiving mode where Courtney's cooking for the dads in LA and Whitney, Lance, Momma Ashley, and Big D are going out for Thanksgiving for the first time ever.

Courtney also shares a truly memorable call from her ex-husband about the insurance team inventorying their old Palisades house… including one item she never imagined hearing repeated back to her. Whitney then confesses she recently learned a past gift from Lance had a far more innocent purpose than the one she'd imagined.

To wrap it all up, Whitney fills Courtney in on her latest conversation with Momma, who revealed her extremely unconventional method for ripening tomatoes leaving the sisters wondering why it has to involve Momma's bed.

  • The Sisters Go to Washington... D.C.
    2025/11/13

In this episode, Whitney shows up in costume, Courtney confesses to home economic conundrum and the two recap their recent trip to Washington, DC. Last week the sisters went to the capital to interview leading marketers at The Room Brand Summit. They heard a touching keynote from Linda Roth at World Central Kitchen Courtney that had them ditching afternoon sessions in favor of having a panty dropper feast at Jose Andres restaurant Zaytinya. They also give a shout out to Rachel Goldflam, CMO of Sneex, after wearing the stylish heeled sneakers through a full day of talking and walking.

Courtney goes on to shares a laugh-out-loud story involving caramel-infused ironing mishaps that left her napkins smelling like cookies. Whitney tells the tale of the Besheret bus and the art of embarrassing teenagers for sport. They wrap it up with their to-do list for Whitney's hubs, Lance's speakeasy birthday bash and all the planning still to come.

And on that note... Happy 50th Birthday, Lance! You're the unicorn of husbands, most supportive brother in law, and savviest of business partners. We could never do this without you. Love you, Love your Show!
