Health and Healing Dealing with Trauma and Addictions

このコンテンツについて

Hello, welcome to the podcast of health and healing in the areas of addiction and abuse, with Michael. My passion and interest started with becoming aware that many of us have childhood traumas that we carry into our adult lives, but we didn't have them addressed or never acknowledged that we had an addiction or a mental illness. Some of the abuses, we suffered were slight or verbal that we just wrote off, other abuses were kept in secret for many years. Now we want to expose those lie-based beliefs, through tools and partnering with the Holy Spirit to help us heal those traumas and Illnesses to become whole. Hurt people hurt people, so we must seek ways to heal so that we can assist others in their healing processes. Disclaimer: * I am not a doctor or professional therapist. However, I am licensed and an ordained Minister, who's interest was piqued as it related to my personal journey and struggles with addictions and abuses that found their way into every aspect of my life unknowingly. God knows I'm a work in progress. Come along as we heal together.

  • Ghetto Informant Program "GIP"
    2025/10/03

The Ghetto Informant Program (GIP) was an intelligence-gathering operation run by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) from 1967 to 1973. After the Watts Riots of 1965, and further unrest in Newark and Detroit in the summer of 1967, the US government mobilized to prepare for urban conflict.

You heard the term, snitches get stitiches! Well there were some snitches in the ghetto. They were FBI informants.

Some of the strauma and struggles in the American Africans communities are because of distrust. "Black cannot get along" they say goes way back, in dealing with infiltration of others including the FBI and other prominnant figures in history. and this has long-term consequences for these communities, by desgn I might add.

You see the war on drugs was never about the drugs. The drugs were a byproduct sent into the communities of color purposely to wreak havoc, secretly allowing slaughter and murderous gangs then referred to as 'black on black crime.' Which inundated the nightly news. It was the crooked local and federal police and FBI behind the entire operation.

  • Two things that Partners value most in relationship
    2025/10/03

Romantic relationships have a special way of enriching our lives through intimate companionship and connection. For many, the desire to find a partner stems from the hope of sharing life’s journey, with all of its triumphs, struggles and quiet moments and noisy pursuits, with someone who is there for both the highs and the lows, the good and the bad.

Research shows that long-term relationships offer something fleeting connections cannot. Here’s what makes people want to fall in love?

2 Things That Partners Value Most in Relationships—

    1. Being ‘Loved Right’ In Relationships.

    2. Receiving Unconditional Support from a Partner.

The gardening concept is a simple one - you have a responsibility but, what’s going on in the soil and with the seed is faith in action.

  • It's Christ that matters
    2025/09/26

Seek you first the Kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added unto you. Americans awoke to the aftershocks of an electoral earthquake.

Democrats’ electoral coalition finally fractured, costing them the popular vote for only the second time since 1988.

    • Democrats have lost more than 2 million registered voters since 2020
    • Republicans have gained about 2.4 million in the same stretch
    • That is a 4.5 million voter swing toward the GOP
    • For the first time since 2018, more new voters are registering Republican than Democrat
    • Analysts call it the biggest rightward shift since Ronald Reagan in 1980

The reasons are obvious. Democrats turned inward, chasing fringe cultural fights and catering to unions and activist groups instead of addressing the basics: jobs, inflation, safety, and the border. The very voters who built their coalition are walking away, abandoned by a party that focuses more on making sure kids get ruinous “gender care” than fighting crime.

In recent years, many Republican officials have veered away from traditional conservative principles and toward unwavering loyalty to power — often personified by former President — and the interests of wealthy donors. Analysts note that GOP leaders have essentially “abandoned their principles in support of an immoral and dangerous president”

Since we Christians fall in that broad category called the people, we are responsible before God for what this government does. It matters not where you stand politically; everyone has a vote and a voice. As traumatic as this may seem and the trail of pain it leaves behind, more importantly, the roads yet traveled—our responsibility is a "moral" one. Not just for one race of people or those claiming supremacy.

America, are we better than this? To answer that question, "NO!" political violence is the very fabric of America—we are traumatized by violence, hate, division, and killings daily.

Anxiety can trigger depression and other behavioral physical and mental health issues. It is especially hard if you are dealing with other personal, work, relationship, or family-related issues. It is okay to ask for help.
