What if the very moment your world falls apart is actually the doorway to your next expansion?

This week on The Healing + Human Potential Podcast, I sit down with Regena Thomashauer, known to her students as Mama Gena, founder of Mama Gena's School of Womanly Arts and author of the brand-new book, On Our Knees.

We talk about what surrender really means, why it isn't giving up, and how staying connected to our erotic aliveness, even in our darkest moments, can turn collapse into our most powerful portal for transformation.

Regena breaks down the real chemistry behind pleasure, oxytocin, dopamine, endorphins, and prolactin, and why it's one of the most powerful (and overlooked) tools we have for healing anxiety, grief, and even trauma.

If you're in a season that feels like you're on your knees, whether it's heartbreak, uncertainty, grief, or just sheer exhaustion, this conversation is your permission slip to fall apart with your aliveness fully intact. It's tender, wild, and deeply freeing.

    Guest Bio

Regena Thomashauer, aka "Mama Gena," has spent three decades as one of the boldest voices in women's empowerment. As founder of the School of Womanly Arts, she has taught hundreds of thousands of women worldwide to reclaim pleasure, desire, and sovereign power as the foundation of a fully lived life. Her socials have nearly 200K dedicated fans, and her New York Times bestseller, Pussy: A Reclamation was praised by The Washington Post for "taking back the p-word, turning it into a source of strength rather than a term of belittlement."

In her bold new book, On Our Knees: Loving Your Life Even When You Hate What's Happening (August 25, 2026 / Hay House), she makes a provocative, contrarian argument: surrender is the key for women to stop swallowing our desires, truly embody the deep confidence we deserve, and Live Out Loud. Reframing "falling to your knees" not as collapse but as transformation, Regena argues that real healing begins not through coping or endlessly optimizing yourself, but through the kind of embodied experience that strips away performance and reconnects women to their grief, desire, rage, pleasure, sensuality, and aliveness.

  • Why Trying to Fix Your Partner Is Destroying Your Relationship

👉 Unlock the secret to love in just 15 minutes with my free Love Quiz, Guided Meditation + Workshop. Click here to get yours now while it's still available: https://www.alyssanobriga.com/lovequiz-connor ==== What if the urge to fix or save your partner is actually the thing quietly eroding your relationship? This week on The Healing + Human Potential Podcast, I sit down with Connor Beaton, founder of ManTalks and author of Men's Work, to explore attachment styles, why we unconsciously choose partners who mirror our childhood wounds, and how even our best intentions can turn into control. Connor breaks down the avoidant, anxious, and disorganized attachment styles, and the very different inner experience behind each one. We talk about why the brain always chooses the familiar over the unknown, even when it's unhealthy, what it actually means to feel safe enough to be truly seen, and why "nothing's wrong with you" is often the exact thing an avoidant partner most needs to hear. We also explore the growing divide between men and women, the loss of healthy male role models and initiation, and why for men, real change almost always requires confrontation. If you've ever wondered why you keep attracting the same relationship pattern, or love someone who struggles to let you in, this conversation offers real compassion + a way forward ==== Guest Bio Connor Beaton is the founder of ManTalks, an international organization focused on men's relational wellness, success and fulfillment. Connor is also an international speaker, podcast host and master coach. Since founding ManTalks, Connor has spoken on stage with people like Gary Vaynerchuk and Lewis Howes, turned the ManTalks podcast into a top 100 show, and coached some of the top musicians, entrepreneurs, and athletes. ==== Guest Links Website: mantalks.com Instagram: @mantalks YouTube: @ManTalks Website: alyssanobriga.com ==== Instagram: @alyssanobriga TikTok - @alyssanobriga Spotify - https://open.spotify.com/show/6b5s2xb... What if the thing you're most afraid of isn't failing, it's being fully seen? This week on The Healing & Human Potential Podcast, I'm sharing a live coaching session from one of our weekly certification calls inside the Institute for Coaching Mastery. My client Erica raised her hand in front of a room full of people to be the one on camera, already an act of courage before the session even started. She came in believing her block was about needing a master's degree. It wasn't. Underneath that goal was a fear of being fully seen, one she didn't even know she was carrying. In this episode, I'm pausing throughout to break down exactly what I was tracking as a coach in real time: the shift I noticed in her body, why I chose that specific intervention, and how a surface-level goal almost always points to something deeper underneath it. This is the same process I teach every coach inside ICM, and I wanted you to see it in action, not just hear about it. If you've ever sensed there's a fear driving your own goals that you haven't named yet, this episode will help you recognize it.
