  • The Most Universal Breath: Ujjayi Breathing Technique

    This episode, I dive into the ancient practice of Ujjayi Breath (Psychic Breath), and simplify it to be used in everyday life. This is definitely a practice you won't want to miss, as it is a great practice for all walks of life and situations (hence calling it the universal breath). This technique can help bring your body from "fight or flight" to "rest and digest" in a matter of minutes, and you can feel the difference immediately. Give this a listen if you're curious to know more about this simple way to bring your body back into its natural alignment in an easy and effective way.

    Also, this can make you feel as though you're in a trance like state, hence the "psychic" part of the name translation. It does help you tap into higher states of consciousness, and can give you divine inspiration in many cases. Use with love and light in your mind, body, and spirit.

  • Buddhist Truth Bombs: Ancient Wisdom from Buddha

    In today's episode, I go back to my Eastern philosophy roots that got me into yoga in the first place, Buddhist philosophy. Some people may call this Buddhism, however that sounds like a religion, which Gautama Buddha strictly advised against, hence I use the term "Buddhist philosophy" as I find it more accurate.

    There is so much golden wisdom to behold within Eastern philosophy, this episode really only grazes the surface. If it sparks something within you, I highly suggest diving deeper on your own accord through books and audio books. Also, never forget that the wisdom you seek is also within you, if you just sit long enough to notice it.

    The book I'm referencing here is The Dhammapada (The Buddha's Path of Truth). I have the kindle version, you can find that here. Bonus, it's only $1.00 for the ebook version!   • Morning Rituals for Holistic Wellness

    In this weeks episode, we dive into some simple, easy, physical routines to implement into your life to help maintain optimum health (as told by yoga and Ayurvedic medicine).

    I said I would link to a tongue graphic, but I really can't without getting in copyright trouble LOL. So simply search an image of "Ayurvedic tongue chart" and lots of things will come up. It mostly shows where the organs are related to what area (much like reflexology in the hands and feet). This helps us keep an eye on our whole body health in a regular way. It also allows us to notice any changes, which may be important! Getting a copper tongue scraper from Etsy is also a great idea!

    I mention Sun Salutations as well in this episode. If you aren't familiar, here's a simple how-to video on Sun Salutations for beginners!
