Burdened with a creative block for their second project, troubled young writer Joan Cassidy finds escape at Twig Lake Resort. This charming lakeside retreat in rural Ontario is practically empty, aside from the mother-daughter duo that run the place, their sole employee, and a cute guy in the cabin next door: a perfect place to find inspiration. Yet, as the days creep by, Joan finds that their newfound escape might be a novel nightmare, as their fears begin to twist and brand this vacation in utterly unimaginable ways. They must determine if these strange occurrences are merely their imagination cracking under the pressure, or if they’re cornered by something far more suffocating.

Regardless, one thing is clear: something is haunting Joan Cassidy, and they must determine if there is really any escaping that which lurks beyond the treeline, breathless to consume.

Equal parts snug, sinister, and blisteringly emotional, Goldenrod is a horror-drama scripted fiction podcast, airing weekly in eight parts. It is intended for mature listeners, and content warnings can be found in the descriptions of each episode. Headphones are recommended.
