An internship at a mega church exposed her to manipulative teachings, eventually prompting her to leave the church altogether. Cassie opens up about her struggles with addiction, mental health, and the grief of losing her parents—all of which sparked a profound shift in her beliefs. Today, she focuses on healing, self-connection, and building supportive communities outside of traditional religion. We explore themes of faith deconstruction, body shame, identity fluidity, and the unknowns of the afterlife. Cassie reminds us that humor can be healing, liberation is possible, and it's okay not to have all the answers.
