Bernie Worrell (1944–2016) was a pioneering musician known for his innovative contributions to funk and rock music. Born in Long Branch, New Jersey, Worrell began playing piano at a young age and later studied at Juilliard and the New England Conservatory of Music. He rose to prominence as a founding member of Parliament-Funkadelic, where his groundbreaking keyboard work shaped the sound of funk music.
