  • Alvin Quah
    2026/07/16

Soon to be seen in series 3 of The Traitors on Channel 10, Alvin Quah is a well known face thanks to his two standout seasons on MasterChef.

Alvin gives us an insight into the machinations of The Traitors and some special memories of his MasterChef days as well. He is proudly Malaysian born and his insight to the best food from his homeland is brilliant. We also learn of Alvin's little-known skill that has absolutely nothing to do with cooking or television cameras, but one he shares with Sarah.

When Kevin asked Sarah what the Food Poll for this week was going to be, 'She just smiled and gave him a Vegemite sandwich.' So keeping the show as bright as bright can be, we ask are you a happy little Vegemite sandwich eater or not?

Dominic's own experiences in the industry combined with with his meticulously researched history and a love of coffee give him a unique perspective. From instant to pods, and plungers to the powdered Cafe Bar experience, we talk coffee in all its variations.

And to finish, how about some pudding? Rice pudding to be precise. Are you in the yay or the nay camp?

  • Anthony Phelan
    2026/08/13

Anthony Phelan has one of those faces that everyone knows, but we're not sure exactly where from. Currently treading the boards in Death of a Salesman at Her Majesty's Theatre in Melbourne with Anthony LaPaglia and Alison Whyte, Anthony has been on our screens and stages for much of the last 45 years.

Here, he shares some hilarious moments from his first stage appearances and a recent brush with fame in the pickle aisle of his local supermarket.

Anthony is a wobbling vegetarian, a keen vegetable grower, an occasional dog whisperer and a keen cook and jam maker, which makes him perfectly cast as a guest on our show.

For our weekly Food Poll, we borrow from the Bard and ask 'To dunk or not to dunk? That is the question'

Glenda has had an equally interesting culinary journey and here she explains how her relationship with the kitchen has evolved over the years.

  • Nathan Cavaleri
    2026/08/26

Former child guitar prodigy, recording star and slightly nervous Food Bytes guest: that sums up the 2026 version of Nathan Cavaleri, who joins us this week to talk about his amazing 44 years on this planet.

Nathan talks about his latest show - the Growing Pains Tour. It's a musical story in which he shares life's highs and lows, including being diagnosed with leukaemia, being a child star, being bullied at school, sharing the stage with some of the world's biggest stars and his anxiety attacks - and how he's come out the other side.

We find out about his relationship with coffee and his signature dish, and he also shares some fond memories of his days working as a labourer for his bricklaying dad.

The weekly Food Poll goes directly to the supermarket bakery aisle. What do you think of the Woolies mud cake? Is it a yay or a nay?
