  • Being the Right Person EP. 258
    2025/08/17

If I could go back and give my younger self a handful of truths, this episode would be the letter I’d write. In “Things I Wish I Knew,” I unpack the wisdom that only time and trial can teach lessons about faith, relationships, usefulness, perseverance, and the uncomfortable but necessary path of true Christianity. I reflect on what it means to “number our days,” and how overconfidence, pride, and distraction can derail even the best of intentions. Through scriptures and personal insight, I share why being the right person matters more than finding the right people, how temptation is not failure, and why pain is often proof that something mattered deeply.

We explore the importance of surrounding yourself with people who sharpen rather than dull your spirit, how to guard your eyes and heart in a noisy world, and what it looks like to live with grit and grace when life gets hard. Most importantly, I urge you to keep getting back up no matter how many times you fall. Because life isn’t about being flawless; it’s about being faithful. If you're wrestling with purpose, pressure, or pain, this episode is a call to re-center on what truly lasts.

  • Expecting the Unexpected EP. 257
    2025/08/17

This week, I’m sharing the story behind a black eye, yes, a real one, and the deeper spiritual insights it stirred. We start with Mike Tyson’s famous line, “Everyone has a plan until they get hit in the face,” and trace it through the wisdom of Ecclesiastes 9:11: “Time and chance happen to them all.” From life’s sucker punches to its detours and delays, we explore how to expect the unexpected and thrive through it.

I reflect on seven hard-earned lessons about endurance, perspective, and growth, not just through major life crises but in the everyday hiccups that throw us off course. Life doesn’t go according to plan, and maybe that’s the point. Discomfort builds strength, conflict reveals character, and setbacks are often the raw material for comebacks. If we’re willing to reflect, adapt, and grow, we’ll come out the other side not just older, but wiser, stronger, and more grounded in purpose.

This episode is a call to see life’s black eyes as teachers, not punishments. Because growth doesn’t come from the recliner, it comes from the ring. Let’s learn how to cooperate with God’s process, no matter what life throws our way.

  • You Will Know a Tree -- EP. 256
    2025/08/12

In this episode, I dig deep into one of Jesus’ most practical teachings: “You will know them by their fruits.” Words are easy, anyone can sound sincere, spiritual, or conservative, but the real test is the consistent direction of a person’s life. I talk about why it’s vital to compare what people say with what they do, whether they’re politicians, preachers, or Bible class teachers. Using Scripture as our foundation, we’ll explore how false teachers work slowly and subtly often mixing truth with just enough error to pull people away from God over time. I’ll show how this happens not only in the broader denominational world but sometimes within groups that still carry the name “Church of Christ.” We’ll discuss how to test the spirits, judge righteously, and protect our hearts from deception. This isn’t about nitpicking honest mistakes, it’s about spotting deliberate, persistent drift away from God’s will. Ultimately, it comes down to one question: is the fruit leading you closer to God, or further away? Join me as we learn to see beyond appearances and stand firmly on book, chapter, and verse.

  • Endurance Over Perfection -- EP. 255
    2025/08/11

In this episode, I open my heart about one of life’s most overlooked truths: we grow through failure. Drawing from Proverbs, Corinthians, James, and the parable of the prodigal son, I share why falling down isn’t the end—it’s part of the refining process God built into our journey. We talk about the danger of chasing perfection, the gift of endurance, and why God isn’t waiting to bench you after one mistake. Instead, He’s strengthening your “get back up” muscles with each challenge. I also dive into the comparison trap of social media, the lessons failure can teach when we’re willing to reflect, and the freedom of defining yourself by God’s love rather than your missteps. You’ll hear practical strategies for turning setbacks into comebacks, using your own scars to help others heal, and staying the course in the long, sometimes boring middle stretch of faith. If you’ve ever been tempted to quit after a fall, I want this episode to be your reminder: you’re still in the race, you’re still being refined, and the finish line is worth every stumble along the way.

    2025/07/21

What if the life you want is not out of reach but just on the other side of a few key choices? In this down-to-earth and powerful lesson, Clarence lays out ten timeless rules for a victorious life, beginning with the most important: Put God first. Using Scripture, humor, and real-life insight, he reminds us that rules are not a burden, they are a blueprint for winning. “If you miss heaven, you miss it all.” That is the bottom line. But the good news is that you can live with joy, purpose, and confidence right now, if you will play by the rules God has given.

  • Getting Unstuck - EP. 253
    2025/07/21

In this powerful and heartfelt message, Repentance Is How We Get Unstuck, Clarence challenges the common misconception that repentance is a punishment. Instead, he paints a deeply biblical picture of repentance as a divine privilege and a gift from God meant to lead us back to life and joy. Drawing from Matthew 4:17, Acts 3:19, and the story of the prodigal son, he reminds listeners that repentance is not about shame but about turning around, stepping out of the rut, and embracing the abundant life Christ offers.

Whether you feel stuck in old patterns or unsure of how to start fresh, this sermon offers biblical insight and emotional honesty. The goal is not to make you feel guilty but to help you see the open arms of a Father who longs to welcome you home.

Repentance is not the end of your story, but rather it is the beginning of something better. If you are ready for a change, this message will inspire you to take that first step with courage, grace, and hope.

  • Grace Is Not a Loophole EP. 252
    2025/07/14

In this episode, “Grace Is Not a Loophole,” I dig deep into one of the most misunderstood and often misrepresented concepts in modern Christianity: grace. For generations, people have tried to turn grace into a spiritual free pass an emotional comfort zone that justifies sin rather than challenges us to change. But that’s not what Scripture teaches. I explore how true grace doesn’t cancel obedience; it empowers it. Through Scripture like Matthew 7:21 and Luke 6:46, we examine how Jesus wasn’t calling out pagans He was calling out people who thought they were doing fine.

We talk about sincerity, obedience, and why “good intentions” don’t cut it. I emphasize the need for honest self-examination over judgment of others and warn against the comfort-driven distortion of discipleship. This is not about guilt trips—this is about spiritual growth. It's about moving beyond lukewarm faith and toward a life that truly reflects Christ. Grace is the opportunity not the excuse.

If you've ever wrestled with the tension between faith and works or wondered why a watered-down gospel leaves people spiritually stagnant, this episode is for you. Let’s stop faking fruit and start walking the narrow road—for real.

  • Jesus Ate with Sinners, But Why? EP. 251
    2025/07/14

Have you ever heard someone defend a questionable choice with, “Well, Jesus ate with sinners”? In this episode, I unpack that popular phrase and look at what really motivated Jesus to spend time with the broken, the messy, and the lost. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t to condone or coddle sin, it was to call people to repentance. We live in a culture that celebrates tolerance, but too often that gets twisted into compromise. Jesus never watered down the message, and neither should we.

I dig into the uncomfortable reality of repentance, how it starts with admitting we were wrong and why that terrifies most of us. From prison ministry to overseas missions, I share hard-earned lessons on what truly changes lives: truth told in love, not entertainment or affirmation. We talk about what it means to be the salt and light in a world begging us to blend in. This is a challenge to get out of the salt shaker, be kind without compromising, and have the courage to say what needs to be said, even when it’s not popular. If you’re tired of feel-good theology and ready for truth that transforms, this one’s for you.
