I rely on commonly known facts without claiming to be an expert, drawing on the insights of those more knowledgeable than myself. Though I have previously diverged from Mr. H. G. Wells in my historical interpretations, I commend him for his imaginative courage and for championing the right of amateurs to engage with the facts provided by specialists.
