Hello friends of Echoes (In) Between! I wanted to let you know that I have a new show, Regina Prime.

It's a Sci-Fi micro-fiction podcast, releasing bi-weekly on Tuesdays, entirely produced, written, performed, and scored by me (Jess!). This is the first episode, and I hope it will tempt you to follow the Regina Prime feed for more! Hi friends! What you're about to listen to was an interview that was originally recorded in July of 2022, when we sat down with W. Keith Tims to talk about the creation of Echoes (In) Between for his invaluable show, The First Episode Of. The First Episode of is a podcast in which Keith explores the creative process of indie audio drama makers from all over the world. If you like the episode that featured us, you will love the other 50+ episodes, including those currently being released every other Sunday for the show's second season. Hello friends of Echoes (In) Between! A few weeks ago, we had the honor of participating in the first ever Phonic Fiction Fest! Participants in this festival were required to form teams and then make a self contained horror short in one of three assigned sub-genres, which had to include a specific line of dialogue and a specific sound effect. Our assigned genre was Horror Noir, so we decided to take things in a Cyberpunk direction, ala Blade Runner, and Justice Served is the result.

Our amazing team mates included Emily Inkpen, co-creator of The Dex Legacy, AMC, creator of The Vesta Clinic, and Loretta Chang, an amazingly talented voice artist. The story was conceived of by Jess and Bronson, with help from AMC. Jess then wrote the script in 3 hours, sent it off to everyone for their vocal performances, and then edited the dialogue. Then it was Bronson's turn to put his sound and music wizardry into it and bring it to life before the 48 hour deadline expired! 

We were so honored to have been voted Best Horror Noir along with Best Sound Design and Best Original SFX. We also placed second in Acting, Story, Original Music, and Best Overall (for the first place winner in those categories, check out our friends at Packhowl/The Madness of Chartrulean's stellar entry, Emet). If you want to hear all 25 entries, make sure to head over to the Phonic Fiction Fest feed. There's so much brilliance there that it's hard to believe everyone was able to churn out these masterpieces in only 48 hours!
