  • Discovering God's Heart for the Nations | Fall 2025 | Lesson 10
    2025/10/23

That holy tension you feel in your heart isn't anxiety - it's an assignment from God. Divine calling isn't reserved for a select few; instead, God asks 'Who will go for us?' and waits for our willing response. The call comes to everyone, but hearing it depends on the condition of our spiritual ears and our readiness to say 'Here I am. Send me.'Discovering God's calling begins with asking the right questions and listening for what breaks your heart. Every powerful work of God starts with a question, just as Nehemiah's story began when he inquired about Jerusalem. Your journey starts with praying 'Where do you want me? What do you want me to do?'

God often reveals His calling through what moves us to tears or stirs righteous anger within us. Your past pain and brokenness aren't wasted - they're preparation for your purpose. Fear is normal and biblical, but it doesn't disqualify you from God's calling. Even Nehemiah admitted being 'very much afraid' yet still moved forward in obedience. Following Nehemiah's example, we learn to pray persistently, ask for God's favor, make concrete plans, assess situations carefully, and cast a vision to others. God doesn't call the equipped; He equips the called. You are uniquely created to reflect Christ's love in ways only you can. When you step into your calling, you experience God in tremendous measure and find the greatest joy in serving within the sweet spot of your divine purpose.

  • Everyday Gospel | Fall 2025 | Lesson 2
    2025/10/23

The Gospel extends beyond a simple salvation message—it's a comprehensive story that should transform how we approach relationships, parenting, work, and every daily experience. Being Gospel fluent means understanding how God's narrative speaks directly to real-life struggles, whether someone is dealing with marriage difficulties, addiction, or feelings of worthlessness. Just as learning any language requires understanding the cultural context and stories that give words meaning, grasping the Gospel requires comprehending the overarching narrative that makes sense of our existence.

The Gospel story unfolds through four key movements that address humanity's fundamental questions. Creation answers how it all began and why we exist, revealing God as holy, powerful, good, and sovereign. Humans were created as the pinnacle of God's work, made in His image with inherent dignity, purpose for worship and dominion, perfect fellowship with God, and authority to rule the earth. This foundation gives meaning to our circumstances because we serve a God who created everything with intention and design.

The Fall explains what went wrong when Adam and Eve chose rebellion over obedience, bringing deception, disobedience, pride, separation, shame, and death into the world. The tragic result wasn't just learning about evil—they became evil, experiencing it personally for the first time. This curse affects everything today: broken relationships, dysfunctional families, shame that drives us to hide, pride that makes us want to be our own God, and futile attempts to fix ourselves through earthly means. Understanding our created dignity and fallen condition prepares us to fully appreciate the rescue and restoration that comes through Jesus Christ.

  • Discovering God's Heart for the Nations | Fall 2025 | Lesson 9
    2025/10/16

Every believer is God's masterpiece, uniquely created with specific spiritual gifts, passions, and purposes that contribute to His kingdom work. According to Ephesians 2:10, we are created anew in Christ Jesus to do the good things God planned for us long ago. Just as no two people have identical fingerprints, no one else can fulfill the specific assignment God has created you for. When you're not using your gifts and serving in your designated place, the whole picture of God's work remains incomplete. Many Christians fall into three categories regarding their kingdom purpose: focused, fragmented, or frustrated. Those with focused purpose understand their gifts and use them consistently, experiencing regular fulfillment. Others have fragmented purpose, occasionally serving but lacking a master plan for their calling. Some feel frustrated, confused about their specific purpose, and merely survive rather than thrive. Understanding what breaks your heart is crucial to discovering your calling, as often our greatest heartaches become preparation for our greatest ministry opportunities. God calls believers to move beyond being consumers of church services to becoming contributors in His kingdom work. The harvest is plentiful, but workers are few, and there's an indescribable joy that comes from selflessly serving the Lord. By taking a spiritual gifts inventory and reflecting on what breaks your heart, you can discover your unique assignment and step boldly into the role God has specifically designed for you.
