Jordan created what is now known as data literecay back in 2016 and has since written 4 books (another one is on the way) about the subject, has been on a TEDx talk with nearly 200k views on You Tube, and has worked with some huge orgnisations (US Army, United Nations amongst others) to help them develop their people and their processes to leveage the value held within their data.

The latest episode features our CEO, Iain Curtis, talking to Kyle Winterbottom the CEO and Founder of Orbition Group and also the well known host of the hugely successful podcast "Driven by Data".

Kyle provides a birds eye view of the data industry, gained from his experience of building data teams for organisations across the Globe over the last 15 years, and also from the 200 + interviews he has undertaken on the Driven By Data podcast, where he has interviewed data, technology and business leaders, from a myriad of industries, and from some of the major companies and brands operating today.

The discussion looks closely at the thorny subject of how the data industry can, but often struggles, to demonstrate the value that can be gained from implementing data and analytics initiatives.

The episode also touches on how business are seeing data as an asset, and also looks at how AI is creating further demand for leveraging data overall.

One key point, highlighted by Kyle, also identifies the importance of how organisations are structured and the onboarding of people as one of the critical success factors of any data initiative.
