Best trim that thar line and mind that thar bow, here thar be monsters!
Never mind that's nonsense, it's all pirates all the time this week!
This week on Morning Radio, TBD, we're bringing you an episode from the fifth season of CineMEH, where Josh and Ryan force aggressively mediocre films to walk the plank, endure the rack, handle the irons, and all the other pirate-y euphisms you can think of for a complete tear down of these movies patently absurd productions.
And to kick things off, we've got the tragic 1995 mess that shuttered a studio and killed pirate movies for a decade, Cutthroat Island.
We'll get into the painful dialogue, the obvious Princess Bride references, the troubled production, and ask the hard questions like: are there only three pirate movie plots available and have they all been done to death already?
Robert Louis Stevenson is rolling in his grave on this one, folks.
So kick back, relax, grab some popcorn, and join us on this cinematic voyage through the dangerous waters of extremely mid movies as Morning Radio, TBD brings you a CineMEH production: Cutthroat Island!
Cutthroat Island was released in 1995 and stars Geena Davis, Matthew Modine, Frank Langella, and if you're really paying attention, Christopher Masterson, but we're pretty sure he stumbled onto the wrong set trying to audition for "Malcolm in the Middle."
