Once again, Coach Ray Ostrowski (@CoachRayO3313) comes through with a gem for all of us. His intro to his Quote of the Day is this: “If your dream is to become something special, the road can be humbling from time to time. Stay the course, remain persistent and face the storm - No time for PTP’s” The quote he shared with his students and players - I feel awesome to see the same thoughts and lessons he’s sharing with them… is this: “Sacrifice & Discipline” - “The greatest things in life take sacrifice and discipline, that’s why very few achieve great things. People create their own storms but get mad when it rains. If your dream is to become something special, the road is humbling. If you’re not prepared for that, don’t chase the dream.” ~ Lewis Caralla. WOW… love this thought of how we do indeed create our own storms at times in our lives. I know I do for sure. Not only do I complain about it raining from the storms I caused - but I’m also getting upset or blaming others for not even having an umbrella!!! I for sure need to keep working on the discipline and sacrifice for doing the things I need to do and to keep focusing more throughout my days!! You too I hope? Thanks for listening. I found a new connection to thought-provoking things. It comes from Jeff Moore (@JeffMoore__) and on FB: (JeffMooreEP) who shared this golden gem: “Your inner voice becomes the atmosphere you live in every day. Make it honest, encouraging, and worthy of someone you care about. Keep going.” What a powerful thought that I have not seen put into these terms. His post that went along with his thoughts were “Talking to yourself like you respect yourself is a game changer. Keep Going.” Love this!! I do have an atmosphere that I have around me all the time and I’m realizing that I have the ability to have more control over my atmosphere around me. Another powerful item to take some time to get connected to - this one comes from the great Zig Ziglar (@TheZigZiglar) and he shares this reflection: “Good habits reduce the number of times you have to rely on motivation or willpower. When discipline, preparation, integrity, and responsibility become part of your daily life, making the right choice begins to feel more natural. The decisions you practice today prepare you for the challenges you will face tomorrow. Build habits that support the person you want to become.” WOW… just reading this again helps me to get fired up for not only my day, but my next moment that I have to do something. I need to connect with this every morning to help my day go in a great direction. The quote that came with this was this: “The right habits make difficult decisions easier before they arrive.” Remember, our good habits won’t mean we will never have problems. It means that we will have a better chance to get through the troubles, than if we had bad habits. Keep working on these my friends. Remember, life is an inside job!!
