  • Episode 26: What Burnout Really Looks and Feels Like!
    2024/03/26

We all know what burnout and compassion fatigue is but what does it really look and feel like. And if we have it, where do we go from there. It can be such a debilitating and scary time. There is a lot of shame, confusion, and disorientation when we find ourselves someplace we've never been. In this episode, Bridget Querns, my partner and Click Moments and Passionate Pursuits: The Unfolding podcast co-host, asks me questions about my 2018 burnout. I share reflections, how I moved forward, as well as at the 2:00-3:30 marks, share an actual video of what it looked like back in 2018 as I was finding my way through. If you think you have compassion fatigue or burnout, I recommend you watch this episode. www.bethorr.com My Authentically YOU asynchronous course is available on my website. It's a self paced course and includes a month of Zoom community support calls along with your purchase.

  • Episode 25: Virginia Shepley - Healing & Playing Within Art
    2024/02/19

I got to talk with Winston-Salem, NC artist, Virginia Shepley. I love how art inspires us to talk about, share, and reveal parts of ourselves, we wouldn't normally think to talk about, with each other. Virginia's work inspires me to tap into my own creativity as well as to be more aware of our interconnection. While experiencing her creations, I feel our collective wholeness, am engaged in my unfolding and space within it, and am curious about new ways to see the world. Each conversation with a creative opens up possibilities within ourselves. Enjoy Virginia and my conversation, as she shares with us more of who she is, and how she sees the world. 2023/12/18

Dr. Raymond Turpin, Clinical and Executive Director of The Pearl Psychedelic Institute outside Asheville, NC has spent much of his career studying the therapeutic benefits of psychedelic treatment. Dr. Turpin explains how MDMA and Ketamine have shown tremendous promise when treating PTSD and other treatment resistant mental health issues. These options aren't for everyone just as surgery or certain medications aren't for every person and every condition but for those individuals struggling with disruptive and intrusive breakthrough symptoms that make daily life difficult, the options Dr. Turpin and his team offered present great hope. His interventions aren't solely implementing psychedelics, he outlines a thoughtful, supportive team-based therapeutic approach to this work that gives people the opportunity to understand and integrate the information that has come up in their psychedelic experience. • Episode 21: Flamy Grant Discusses Authenticity and Being True to Yourself!
    2023/12/01

In today's episode, I had the pleasure of speaking to Flamy Grant, a talented singer/songwriter primarily in the Christian music genre. Their inspiring lyrics resonate with an audience who has felt marginalized by traditional religion. They give language to and tell the story of so many who have had a circuitous journey to finding a spiritual Home. It is personally unprecedented for me to experience a Drag Queen who is a singer/songwriter in the Christian genre. This conversation touched me deeply as I connected with their desire to BE who they uniquely were created to BE. I left our conversation inspired and filled up listening to them talk about the alchemy and magic within the creative process, the grit required to be our authentic self despite society's expectations, and the importance of finding our personal truth through our intuition. • Episode 20: Dr. Kendra Cornwell - What if the way we see the world is limiting what's possible
    2023/11/13

Have you ever found yourself in similar situations over and over wondering, why? What if the way we see the world, whose foundation was laid long ago in childhood, is telling us truths that aren't actually true? Could your belief system be affecting what you see and hear so much so it's hard to take in new information that's in our best interest? Dr. Kendra Cornwell and I discuss this topic after she found an autobiography from her 12 year old self that was saying things reminiscent of today. In this vulnerable conversation, Kendra shares insights that give us all reason to pause and consider, could my beliefs be stopping me from seeing what's actually possible. Please share any Click Moments you have within today's episodes in the show notes. www.bethorr.com; beth@bethorr.com - To engage in my other work. Micah Mackenzie @ micah_mack76 on Instagram.
