  • Change Won't Stick Until You Feel Safe. Here's How, with Dr. Clare Emma Wild
    2025/05/05

In this episode of the Changeology podcast, I chat with Dr. Clare Emma Wild, a trauma-informed somatic coach. She's an expert in helping Quiet Leaders stop people pleasing and overcome imposter syndrome so they can lead with confidence and clarity.

Dr. Clare brings deep experience to our conversation, created through her academic training and work with senior leaders, as well as her own lived experiences of burnout, self-silencing, and finding her way back to self-trust. In our conversation, we explore how internalized oppression, early socialization, and trauma can all live in the nervous system…and how that impacts our ability to make changes in our lives, relationships, and leadership.

This episode is about more than mindset. It’s about embodied change, the kind that doesn’t just shift your thinking, but restores your sense of power. We talk about how noticing without judgment can open the door to transformation, why rest is often the bravest act of rebellion, and how healing creates the capacity to choose differently.

If you’ve ever felt like you had to become someone else to be successful or struggled to make a change because something deeper kept pulling you back, this episode will definitely resonate with you.

What You’ll Learn in This Episode:

    • Why change isn’t just about action, but about what your nervous system believes is safe
    • Why healing isn’t about fixing yourself, but about returning to the truth of who we are
    • How trauma-informed coaching helps create the safety needed for real transformation
    • The difference between intellectual insight and embodied self-trust
    • Why self-abandonment is the cost of performing success, and how to reclaim your own definition of it
    • Why healing isn’t about fixing yourself, but about returning to the truth of who we are

  • The Number One Thing My Clients Say After Making a Big Life Change
    2025/03/10

In today’s episode, we dive into one of the most common reflections my clients have after making a major life change: I wish I had done this sooner.”

Whether it’s quitting a toxic relationship or pursuing a new career path, many of us delay making these big decisions because we fear what we will lose. In this episode, I explore why it’s so hard to take the leap, even when we know deep down that making the change would be better for us. The fear of loss, or “loss aversion bias,” often keeps us stuck in situations that aren’t serving us, making it difficult to see the potential benefits on the other side of change.

I also touch on how this bias can manifest in both small and large decisions, whether it’s staying in a job you hate because it’s stable or continuing unhealthy habits because they feel familiar. It’s a natural human tendency to prioritize avoiding discomfort over focusing on what’s to be gained by doing something new, even if the change would result in a positive outcome. In this episode, I share how recognizing and confronting these fears can help you move forward in your own life with more confidence.

By the end of this episode, you’ll understand why making a big life change feels so difficult, but also how to shift your perspective to focus on what you stand to gain rather than what you might lose. I offer strategies for overcoming loss aversion and the sunk cost fallacy to help you make decisions that serve your highest good.

What you will learn in this episode:

🌟 The most common reflection people have after making a big life change.

🌟 Why loss aversion bias keeps you stuck in situations that no longer serve you.

🌟 How to recognize and overcome fear when it comes to making life-altering decisions.

🌟 The importance of focusing on the gains, not just the losses, when considering change.

🌟 How letting go of the status quo creates space for new, fulfilling opportunities.

🌟 Simple mindset shifts to help you start making changes in your life today.
