As much as the holidays are celebrated as a time to get together with family, there are just as many people for whom the holidays are a really tough time. Laura Stemmer is a NYC nightlife consultant and queen of the night who joins Eddie and Natashia this week to talk about what’s hotter than being a mom and the evolution of NYC nightlife. Laura is a force who knows how to pack a club full of hot people and go hard at the parent teacher conference. This trio takes on everything from vaping to dressing to breast milk, so tune in.

Hunter Harris is a screenwriter and culture critic who writes “Hung Up” on Substack and co-hosts “Lemme Say This” on Wondery. Today she’s on the pod to talk about her voice as a writer and also gets into some of her favorite TV and movies of 2025. She and Eddie critique the shopping culture of New York City and discuss where to go in terms of political optimism following the victory of Zohran Mamdani in the recent mayoral election.

Jason Stewart AKA the Pod GOD stops by Canal Street Dreams this week to make us all laugh more than usual and discuss Jimmy Buffett cuisine. Eddie is persuaded to blow big gas on the pod for the first time (allegedly) to pregame dinosaur halloween. Today we welcome Josh Topolsky to the pod! Josh founded The Verge and The Outline, helped build Vox Media, and has shaped some of the most influential digital brands of the past decade. You won’t hear much about any of that on this episode, because today Josh, Natashia, and Eddie do a deep dive into Eddie’s unhinged relationship with sports: how much he watches, gambles, and why The Knicks are his family. They also talk about compromise in relationships and what their greatest ultimatums are.

This week we’ve got Eddie’s Floridian brother dza3000 on the pod, the venerated Commissioner of their fantasy sports league, and of course esteemed DJ. This week we've got very special guest Chi Ossé, Council Member for New York City's 36th District, representing Bedford-Stuyvesant and North Crown Heights. We get into a ton about Chi's motivations for getting into politics during the pandemic and Black Lives Matter movement. We debate is housing lotteries are a saving grace or a bandaid for a much larger issue. Plus we get the scoop that Chi gonna abolish wine bars as his next campaign issue (not really, but stop serving our man the little plates and charging big plate prices).
