  • Momentum Killers: Satan's Sabotage of God-Given Purpose
    2025/04/15

    Send us a text

What's quietly sabotaging your God-given purpose? The answer might surprise you.

We all know the feeling – that divine fire ignites within us, God downloads a vision, and we're ready to change the world... until suddenly, mysteriously, our momentum evaporates. This phenomenon plagues chosen people with divine purpose, and today's episode reveals why.

Diving deep into Scripture, we uncover three sneaky momentum killers that operate in the lives of called Christians. First, we explore "fearful collaboration" – partnerships born from insecurity rather than divine interdependence. Using Moses and Aaron's relationship as our biblical case study, we discover how collaborations motivated by inadequacy rather than God's direction can ultimately derail our calling.

Next, we tackle "premature dopamine" – the neurological reward we experience when announcing our intentions before completing them. The Corinthian church fell into this trap, receiving praise for promised generosity they never delivered. This phenomenon explains why many of our passions and projects lose steam shortly after we publicly announce them.

Finally, we distinguish between consistency and constancy, using Nehemiah's wall-builders as our model. When facing opposition, they didn't stop building to focus exclusively on defense – instead, they worked with one hand while holding weapons with the other. Their productivity dropped to 25%, but crucially, it never stopped completely.

This powerful teaching provides practical biblical wisdom for maintaining momentum in your God-given purpose. Whether you're a ministry leader, entrepreneur, parent, or anyone walking in divine calling, these insights will help you identify and overcome the subtle forces killing your momentum.

Remember, consistently good always beats occasionally great. If God has called you to something, He's equipped you to complete it – but you must protect your momentum at all costs. Subscribe, share, and join our growing community of believers committed to pursuing purpose with biblical wisdom.
