  • Journey to the Medicines: Jennie Marie’s Path to Psychedelics in Mexico
    2025/03/31

In this powerful episode, we follow the inspiring and deeply personal journey of Jennie Marie, a licensed psychotherapist and certified psychedelic medicine therapist, as she travels to Mexico in search of authentic, transformative healing experiences with plant and animal psychedelic medicines.

After three separate visits to the Cancun region and sitting with 17 different medicine providers, Jennie Marie finally met her teacher—the medicine woman Ixca, a guide and healer who would shape her path forward.

What sparked this calling? It all began during her fellowship training at the Integrative Psychiatry Institute, where Jennie Marie was introduced to the clinical promise and sacred history of medicines like Bufo (5-MeO-DMT), Psilocybin, Ayahuasca, Kambo, Peyote, San Pedro, and more.

Because these sacred medicines remain inaccessible and criminalized in the U.S., Jennie Marie traveled to Mexico to work with indigenous medicine holders—those with ancestral traditions and deep spiritual connections to these powerful substances.

🌵 One of the most profound moments? A visit to the Seri Tribe in the Sonoran Desert, where she and her colleague Stacey participated in a Bufo ceremony with the people who are the original stewards of the Sonoran Toad (Bufo alvarius). This deeply humbling experience marked a turning point in her work and soul.

Today, Jennie Marie hosts retreats in the Cancun area, offering individuals the opportunity to experience life-changing healing through legal and respectful access to sacred medicines.

🔍 In this episode, we explore:
-Jennie Marie’s path to discovering her teacher, Ixca 🌺
-The legal and ethical reasons for seeking medicine work outside the U.S.
-What it’s like to sit with Bufo 5-MeO-DMT in a Seri tribal ceremony 🐸
-The unique healing benefits of Kambo, Ayahuasca, Psilocybin, Peyote, San Pedro, and Rapé 🌿
-Why these retreats have been life-changing for clients seeking deep transformation ✨
-The importance of indigenous wisdom, respect, and integration in working with these powerful medicines

Whether you're curious about the ceremonial side of psychedelics, interested in alternative healing modalities, or drawn to the sacred traditions behind plant and animal medicines—this episode is a must-listen. 🧠

  • Beyond the Trip: Psychedelic Integration for Lasting Transformation
    2025/03/17

We dive deep into the crucial role of psychedelic integration with a licensed psychotherapist. While the psychedelic experience itself can be transformative, true healing and growth occur in the integration process. We will share how structured integration helps translate insights from the journey into real-world change.
    Topics Covered:
✅ What is psychedelic integration, and why does it matter?
✅ The benefits of working with a psychotherapist during integration
✅ How to turn insights into lasting behavioral and emotional shifts
✅ Overcoming challenges that arise post-journey

    Why Integration is Essential:
💜 Sustained Growth – The medicine opens doors, but integration solidifies the changes.
💜 Emotional & Psychological Processing – Psychedelics can bring up deep emotions; a psychotherapist helps navigate them.
💜 Bridging the Experience to Everyday Life – Integration ensures insights aren’t lost but become part of a long-term transformation.

Genesis 1:29 – "Then God said, 'I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.'”

Description: This verse suggests that all plants, including those with medicinal properties, are part of God’s provision for humanity. Psychedelics, derived from natural sources like psilocybin mushrooms and ayahuasca, may be understood as tools for healing given by God when used responsibly.

Matthew 9:12 – "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick."

Description: Jesus acknowledges the necessity of medicine and medical care for those who are suffering. Psychedelics, when used as medicine in controlled therapeutic settings, align with this principle by offering relief for PTSD, depression, and addiction where traditional treatments may fail.

1 Corinthians 12:9 – "To another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit."

Description: The Bible affirms that God grants some people the gift of healing, which today may include medical professionals, therapists, and researchers developing new treatments for mental health. Psychedelic-assisted therapy, guided by trained professionals, could be viewed as a modern application of this gift to restore mental and emotional well-being.
