BONUS 1: ritual feat. Seema Johari Agarwal

  • サマリー

  • In our first BONUS episode, Keith is joined by none other than Seema Johari Agarwal, an Indian scholar and direct lineage holder - a dedicated student of her father, the late great Harish Johari. Keith chants a beautiful mantra that is sung thrice daily at the Johari house and they discuss the importance of ritual in multiple areas of life.

    ------

    Śloka:

brahmārpaṇaṁ brahma havir brahmāgnau brahmaṇā hutam

    brahmaiva tena gantavyaṁ brahma-karma-samādhinā

    - from the Bhagavad Gītā Chapter 4, verse 24

Translation by Sharon Gannon and David Life:

"Perceive Brahman everywhere and in all things. Brahman is the ladle; Brahman is the food; Brahman is the fire; Brahman has prepared the food and Brahman will be the eater of the food. Finally Brahman is the goal to be reached."
