    Welcome back to my diary.

In this episode, I'm sharing another chapter of my journey living with occult groin hernias as I wait for surgery. Some days bring answers, some bring more questions, and every day reminds me why awareness of these hidden hernias matters.

This series is an honest record of what life is really like before surgery, after surgery, and everything in between—the physical symptoms, the emotional ups and downs, the healthcare journey, and the small victories along the way.

If you've ever felt like something wasn't right but struggled to find answers, I hope these videos remind you that you're not alone.

If this episode resonates with you, please like, subscribe, and share it. Every share helps raise awareness of occult hernias and other overlooked diagnoses.

Dear Diary: What the Nuck!!! is my real life, unscripted.

What started as a journey through Vitamin B6 toxicity became something much bigger: a story of missed diagnoses, occult hernias, surgery, recovery, advocacy, and learning to rebuild a life that took an unexpected turn.

These are honest diary-style episodes recorded as life happens. Some days are funny. Some are frustrating. Some are heartbreaking. All of them are real.

Along the way, I'll share what I've learned about navigating the healthcare system, living with chronic symptoms, finding answers, and refusing to give up when things don't make sense.

Expect honesty, humour, brick walls to climb over, Buster updates, and the occasional "What the Nuck?!" moment.

Whether you're here because of B6 toxicity, occult hernias, chronic illness, or you're simply following the journey, welcome.

My life. Unscripted. One episode at a time.

What The Nuck? B6 Toxicity Was Not the Only Missed Diagnosis: The Hernia Plot Twist I Didn't Expect

After finally being diagnosed with B6 toxicity, I thought I'd found the answer to years of unexplained symptoms. Many of my neurological symptoms began to improve, but something still didn't add up.

In an unexpected twist, entering a weight loss drug trial to improve my health led to severe constipation and uncovered what I now call a hernia thunderstorm—a congenital Canal of Nuck, bilateral occult inguinal hernias, an occult femoral hernia, and a small umbilical hernia. Most recent evaluation showed, bilateral occult indirect inguinal hernias, bilateral occult femoral hernias, and the congenital Canal of Nuck was not seen last visit to the specialist.

In this episode, I share how recovering from one condition revealed another, why hidden (occult) hernias can be so challenging to identify, and how living with more than one diagnosis changed my understanding of my own health.

This is not about blaming individuals. It's about recognising that diagnostic blind spots exist, particularly when conditions don't present in the usual way. My hope is that by sharing my journey, others with persistent symptoms will feel empowered to continue asking questions and working with their healthcare team.

Sometimes one diagnosis isn't the whole story.

Sometimes the biggest plot twists are the ones you never see coming.
