  • Ep. 76: why making your life pretty actually makes you successful
    2026/08/14

Beauty is something superficial, right? A purely personal preference without any real use? Of course the girl who color codes her notes in class with pretty highlighters and all her extensive stationary is just being extra, right? It won’t help her study. Well, actually, not really. While an aesthetic is a personal preference, it is also a whole body experience that scientifically seen, has a lot of influence on your emotions, motivation and calmness. When perceived something beautiful, dopamine is released, triggering your reward system. That means that you can - from a solely efficiency-oriented standpoint- hack your brain to crave studying, Running, working out even just feeling happier and less stressed, simply by making your life aestethic. May sound weird to some, too good to be true to some others and some may have already felt the positive impact of „romanticizing their life“ without knowing the psychology and neurology behind it.

  • Ep. 75: so you’re actually not supposed to get tired throughout the day
    2026/08/04

Always tired. Falling asleep in the middle of class. Not being able to concentrate and going on your phone the second you get home from school or work being exhausted to the bones. Having a midday crash and feeling completely unenergetic past 6pm. Many of these things are common, but should not be normal. We believe that our bodies are like a battery; you start your day recharged from sleep and throughout the day, you do things such as work or movement that drain energy, so that by the end of the day, you have no energy from your battery left and are ready to sleep. But does that not sound dreadful; running on a half empty tank for half your day? And more importantly; what happens when you don’t sleep well and wake up with an uncharged battery? The truth is that your body is not supposed to operate that way. Sure, your activities throughout the day can fatigue you. But the belief that sleep is the sole source of respiration is simply false. There are so many factors that determine your energy levels and things you can do - even apart from your nutrition, sleep patterns or general stress level - to recover even during the day. Because let’s be honest; you get home tired, you scroll for a few hours because you think that’s relaxing and want to stay awake to get some more work done later, but then you’re too tired for that sand end up sleeping way too late. Your morning energy starts with your night routine. If your body isn’t regulated and your brain is in stress mode, you won’t sleep or recover well. So let’s find out what we can do about this!

  • Ep. 74: learn how to learn (meta learning)
    2026/07/11

I think we have all forgotten how to actually learn. And I don’t just mean studying in school, I mean the capability to absorb knowledge. Whenever we don’t know something, we instantly google or ask ai. You’re not required to think critically and actually understand something by yourself anymore. But that’s the problem. We blindly follow what we’re being told because we forgot how to learn something by ourselves. Additionally, we were taught that „learning“ is just for school and something we’re forced to do. Naturally, when we didn’t HAVE to learn anymore, we just stopped. But there’s something so beautiful in learning things for yourself. Because the ones that know how to retain knowledge won’t only be the ones who end up on top in school or work, but also with their autonomy and self-fulfillment. So let’s relearn how to learn!
