  • Don’t Tell Us How to Be Mets Fans
    2026/08/12

Apparently, we pissed off Mets Instagram.

After our Jefry Yan Reel sparked way more debate than we expected — including people questioning whether we're even Mets fans — Will, LeeJay and Erik jumped back on the microphones for an emergency rebuttal.

LeeJay explains what he actually dislikes about Yan celebrating every strikeout. Erik, who has watched Yan pitch before and doesn't mind the antics nearly as much, explains why Mets fans should probably get used to it. Then the conversation becomes something much bigger: Who gets to decide what being a “real fan” looks like?

We get into criticizing a team you've supported for decades, spending money on a bad product, the danger of late-season false hope, whether this Mets run could influence future roster decisions, and why fandom doesn't require wearing rose-colored glasses.

Three Mets fans. Different opinions. Plenty of profanity.

    Welcome to the rebuttal.

  • 110. Sophie Cunningham Debate, Mets' Celebration Culture & Anthony Volpe’s Fall
    2026/08/11

The Dummies are back with plenty to discuss. Will and LeeJay break down the controversy surrounding Sophie Cunningham and the WNBA, debate whether NFL teams are getting too soft—or too smart—in training camp, and wonder whether the Giants should be trying to change the way Jaxon Dart plays.

Then it's baseball: Jefry Yan's celebrations already have Will and LeeJay yelling at the TV, the Mets may be creating some dangerous late-season false hope, and Anthony Volpe's fall from potential Yankees cornerstone to Triple-A raises a bigger question about how quickly New York fans crown—and abandon—young players.

Plus: LeeJay goes to war with Greyhound, an alleged former NFL player's very public Florida adventure leaves the guys speechless, Will may be heading to a Mets speed-dating event, and the episode closes with a Mount Rushmore of great New York athletes who still aren't in their sport's Hall of Fame.

  • MLB Trade Deadline Special: Mets Sell, Yankees Add Offense & Dodgers Land Tarik Skubal
    2026/08/04

The MLB Trade Deadline has passed, and the three dummies went live to process everything that happened.

Will, LeeJay and EriK break down the Mets’ seven trades, whether David Stearns actually improved the organization and why restocking the farm system does not automatically provide a path back to contention. The conversation turns into a larger debate about the Mets’ player-development operation, Freddy Peralta’s collapse and whether an analytics-heavy approach can take the feel of the game away from pitchers.

The crew also examines the Yankees’ additions, the needs Brian Cashman left unresolved and whether Cashman has essentially earned a job for life by keeping the Yankees in contention every season.

Then comes the biggest controversy of the deadline: Tarik Skubal joining the Dodgers. Are the Dodgers damaging competitive balance, or are they simply showing the killer instinct that other wealthy franchises lack? The guys debate which teams can still beat Los Angeles and whether having the biggest names guarantees anything in October.

Plus: live questions from Larry and Luke, a Bears-Jets bet that could cost LeeJay his mustache, early Giants expectations and another plea for the Mets to stop living off the 1986 championship.
