トーマスさんは、今日、羽田空港に着きました。初めての日本旅行です。空港から電車に乗って、ホテルに荷物を置いたあとで、近くの駅のインフォメーションセンターに来ました。「こんにちは。初めて日本に来たんですが、この町の観光地について、教えてくださいませんか。」「もちろんです。この町では、いろいろなことができますよ。歴史が好きなら、お城や博物館に行けますし、自然が好きなら、美しい公園を散歩できますよ。」そうですか。私は、お城に興味があります。お城では何ができますか。」「たとえば、お城の中の博物館で、昔の日本の生活が見られますし、展望台に上がったら、美しい景色が楽しめますよ。それから、侍の甲冑を着られる体験コーナーもあります。」「甲冑が着られるんですか。それは面白そうですね！」「はい、写真ももちろん撮れますよ。お城の近くには、有名な市場もあります。新鮮な魚や伝統的な和菓子が食べられますよ。」「和菓子！それも食べてみたいです。おすすめはありますか。」「そうですね。いちご大福やたい焼きが人気ですよ。お土産もたくさん買えますよ。」「甘いものが好きなので、行ってみます。」「町には、バスや電車でも行けますが、ここから人力車にも乗れますよ。」「人力車ですか。面白そうですね。お城まで、人力車でどのぐらいですか。」「20分ぐらいです。ゆっくり走る人力車で、お城までの景色もゆっくり見られるので、人気があります。それから、お城の近くに、茶道の体験ができる所もありますよ。おいしい抹茶が飲めて、おいしい和菓子も食べられますよ。」「それも楽しそうですね。茶道の体験は、どこでできますか。」「こちらの観光マップをどうぞ。茶道の体験ができる場所や予約の仕方も書いてあります。」「ありがとうございます！」「この街の観光、楽しんでくださいね！」トーマスさんは観光マップを持って、インフォメーションセンターを出ました。はじめての日本旅行は、楽しくなりそうです。
