We are kicking off season two and it is so wonderful to finally be here!

After a three month hiatus we are back and feeling better than ever! After a crazy three months of healing, moving across the country and both of us learning to start over, the biggest question over the last few weeks was “will the pod survive”? (Truthfully we really were not sure we would make it here.

Join us as we talk about how one dramatic moment after another changed our lives forever and what we thought may have been the end of our friendship and the podcast.

Welcome to our tenth and final episode of our first season! Ten weeks have flown by and we have learned SO much! We have grown SO much! We continue to persevere and self-reflect each week and continue to try to learn most importantly!

In this episode we discuss the topic of summer! Working mom guilt. Stay at home mom guilt. We talk water safety. Ely tells an emotional true story that opened her eyes to the importance of being a present parent and learn all she could when it comes to water safety.

We also give you a little insight to our summer plans, some polls and what we plan to do for when we come back in September for season two!

We could not and would not have continued each week without hearing back from you guys, the viewers. This truly has been an incredible experience so much so that we didn’t want the fun to end and we created a little summer surprise for you guys so that we are able to stay connected more throughout our break!

We laugh, we surprisingly DON'T cry but we do go into some heavy topics and have some great conversations to go with them.

Welcome to Episode 8!

In this episode we are discussing technology and what it means to us to raise our kids in 2025 having access to basically, everything at their fingertips.

We are millenials, and we definitely dated ourselves in this episode a little bit with some of things we mentioned. But - we find this topic to be extremely important. We feel that while technology is great, it is starting to get a little crazy between AI and Siri, these kids have access to so much more than we did and at a quicker pace than dial up.

When you think about it, our kids can instantly just ask these built in phone or computer or tablet bots to show them something and if you aren't paying attention, you may start to have some unfortunate problems. That's why we discuss the importance of monitoring devices and utilizing those parental controls that our parents really didn't have access to when we were growing up.

We discuss what technology was like for us in our homes and the similarities and differences between us and our kids. We think this is another important topic to discuss and it is one we definitely will come back to further down in future episodes. Until then - we hope you can relate and enjoy our eighth episode.

On our 6th episode of our podcast, we dive deep into some subtopics that come under the main topic of Mental Health. We talk about our own personal mental health struggles, our struggles with post partum depression, our men's struggle with post partum, and some statistics about men's mental health in general.

This is SUCH a broad topic and it is one we want to visit over and over because we want to help really break that stigma of keeping it a topic that is in the dark. We want to help break that cycle of men thinking that because they are men they have to hide their feelings because they are "men" - especially because we want our tribe of little boys we are raising to know that it is OK to be a MAN and it is OK to still have feelings and learn how to process them in a healthy way.

We talk about how 'baby blues' and 'post partum depression' are VERY different and how we both handled them throughout our post-pregnancy journeys.

Again, this is such a huge topic and we only skim the surface of the the few topics we touch but as our podcast grows, and this tribe grows, we want everyone, including men to know that, it is ok to talk about your mental health. It is ok, to sometimes not be ok and it is ok to ask for help.

In this week's episode we take a very deep dive and open up about the hardships that come with being a Stepmom. Of course, with bad times, there can come good times - Ely opens up about how her stepsons' mom, bonus dad, herself and J decided to defeat and beat the odds and come together as a family for the better of their boys. Jenna gives some insight into how co-parenting has changed with her ex-husband and how co-parenting is going between her, T and the other party. We listen to a special listener's answers we asked her about her time as a Stepmom and give a little bit of our input on her answers. Ely surprises Jenna with a quick 'Watch What Happens Live' inspired game about 'Mom Standards', Andy Cohen, where are you at?! We get a weeee bit emotional with this episode but we really hope that at least some of you Stepmoms out there, don't feel so alone.

Hiiiii there everyone! Welcome to episode 4! This week Ely and Jenna are overly prepared for the episode they had prepared and severely underprepared for the episode they recorded. Enjoy witty banter, all of the giggles - basically just two best mom friends catching up and enjoying each other's company.
