A beautiful, ethereal voice sings from an unseen source in the grand Paris Opera House. A young chorus member hears it and believes it to be "the Angel of Music". The voice belongs, of course, to the Phantom of the Opera.
Inspiration to many adaptations - including Andrew Lloyd Webber’s 1986 musical - Gaston Leroux’s 1910 novel is a classic twist on the tale of the beauty and the beast.
