From #1 New York Times bestselling author Brandon Sanderson, who completed Robert Jordan's bestselling Wheel of Time? sequence, come a Mistborn adventure which combines ancient magic, a dangerous faction operating from he shadows, political intrigue and magical, martial-arts action.

The Bands of Mourning are the mythical metal minds once owned by the Lord Ruler, said to grant anyone who wears them the same powers that the Lord Ruler had at his command.

Hardly anyone thinks they really exist.

Until a kandra researcher returns to Elendel with images that seem to depict the Bands, as well as writings in a language that no one can read. Unable to resist the mystery, Waxillium Ladrian is recruited to travel south to the city of New Seran to investigate . . . and along the way discovers hints that point to the true goals of his uncle Edwarn and the shadowy organization known as The Set . . .

批評家のレビュー

This is my favorite novel of the second Mistborn series so far, and I am eagerly anticipating the next.
The story starts with a very steampunk feel, turns into a Western, then into a political thriller, before shifting into the type of adventure Allan Quatermain would kill to be involved in. This book really brings out how the author can play with genres and stereotypes to create something where there is great gravity to the underlying narrative, but it doesn't stop it being a darn good romp and a thrilling adventure.
multiple twists and turns await you inThe Bands of Mourning and they are just as shocking. Sanderson plays another ace and leaves us with no doubt he'll play a few more in 2017's conclusion.
