Kroc narrates his life story and demonstrates how the grit and determination he used as a paper cup salesman led him through a series of twists and turns to meet the McDonald brothers, Richard and Maurice, who were running a successful hamburger stand in San Bernardino, California. Kroc initially met the McDonald brothers at their San Bernardino restaurant in 1955. At the time, Kroc was running a business selling commercial milkshake machines.
