本作の最大の魅力は、やはりイングリスの圧倒的なキャラクター性です。転生してもなお、武への執着を隠そうともしないストイックさと、それを愛らしくこなす少女の姿とのギャップが絶妙です。最強の力を持ちながら、それを「武を極める」という目的のためだけに使う姿勢は、読んでいて非常に清々しいものがあります。
第1巻では、物語の導入としてイングリスが自分の置かれた状況を把握し、周囲を圧倒していく過程が丁寧に描かれています。設定上の面白さは十分ですが、今後の物語がどのように展開し、彼女の武がどのような試練を求めていくのか、その可能性を提示したという点で非常に期待値の高まる一冊でした。
純粋な強さを追い求める物語として、今後の成長と周囲との関係性がどう発展していくのか、続きを読み進めるのが待ち遠しい作品です。
