Gramma’s Garden of Dark Secrets

This story is set in the fictional town of Seals Garden, Texas, a suburb of Austin, Texas. Our main protagonist is Kalina "Kayla” Bopp. A cheerleader turned football player, Kayla faces hardship after hardship. The most challenging hardship was losing her brother in 1973.

Her brother Warren always cared for her when her parents were too busy. Warren took care of Kayla until going to war in 1971. He was killed in Vietnam at 19 years old in 1973. Kayla got pregnant at 16, but lost the baby when the baby was six months old. The child's father was at first a deadbeat, but then decided to try to be a part of her life before her untimely death.

Kayla was a successful high school quarterback who wanted to go home one weekend to retrieve some of her brother's old things. She stumbled upon an old cigar box and looked inside. She saw pictures that she wasn't prepared to see. She took her friend Stacy Livingston with her, and then Stacy disappeared.

Kayla discovers Stacy's disappearance is caused by some sort of stone. The question remains: Will Kayla find it in time to save her friend Stacy Livingston? Or will she meet her fate? Or, perhaps, will Kayla live long enough to find her? Stay tuned.
