He died a year ago. In suspicious circumstances. There were rumours of murder, but no arrests followed the original investigation. Now the victims are those who were closest to him, and it looks like the author has come back from the dead to exact his revenge.

Tempest Michaels has a vampire problem. He’s an old hat at this game and dealing with cases like this are his specialty. Except this time…the vampires are his clients. When someone starts targeting members of the local vampire Live Action Role Play club, there’s only one person they can think of to turn to–their old nemesis, Tempest Michaels. Unfortunately for Tempest, when he takes the case, he doesn’t realise they automatically assume that means twenty-four-hour protection.

Verity King has a problem with her husband. He’s been turned into a frog, and contrary to opinion, that’s not an improvement. When a series of grisly, execution-style murders rocks Rochester, the police turn to Blue Moon Investigations for their expert help. CCTV footage shows a lone figure stalking Rochester’s ancient high street after dark, dressed like an eighteenth-century executioner, face masked, weapon in hand. A ghost out of history, walking straight into the present. Whoever is it, their victims all hid crimes the killer somehow knew about. Otherwise the murders seem random, but is that really the case?
