Lament of the Drowned Crown あらすじ・解説

In the salt-choked city of Virehaven, where memory clings like brine and the tide never truly recedes, stories are more than entertainment—they are survival.

Bastian Roe has spent his life chasing applause. A gifted performer and leader of the Salted Stage troupe, he believes the right story can make him immortal. But when he and his sharp-witted partner Maeve uncover a forgotten, water-warped manuscript—The Drowned Crown—they find more than inspiration. They find a story that refuses to stay on the page.

The play tells of a king undone by pride, a crown forged from grief, and a tide that demands remembrance… or erases it entirely. As Bastian and Maeve begin to reconstruct the fractured script, reality itself starts to shift. Lines rewrite themselves. Memories blur. And the deeper they dig, the more it becomes clear: this is no ordinary tale.

Some stories are meant to be told.

Others are meant to be buried.

Bound to an ancient bloodline and a curse older than the sea, Bastian is drawn into a legacy of drowned kings and forgotten names. As the boundary between performance and truth dissolves, he must confront a terrifying question: What happens when the story begins to remember you?
