A Pledge of Honor follows the lives of three women from a small south Georgia town, starting on their high school graduation day in June 1942. Knowing their lives were soon to change forever, they pledge that no matter what adventures their lives contain they will stay friends, keeping no secrets about the wonderful lives they all envision. They share their lives through visits and letters of the successes that each has attained, however, they all exaggerate the successes and eliminate the failures, tragedies and brutality with which they live.
