Mothers are spending more time with their children than they were in the 1970s, but it’s still not enough. Juggling work and children leaves mothers with no time and mental health challenges. Seeking systems of collective care that place the burden on all parent's, Zara Rahman's essay explores solutions that don't require a return to the gender roles of the 60s. It's ABout Time examines motherhood’s most precious and contested resource and draws on examples that consider the status quo’s cost to mothers and children. It's About Time challenges us to acknowledge that there are other ways.
