What if one of the greatest unexplained events in modern history was true—and almost no one knew about it? In 1968, more than 250,000 people witnessed an event that continues to defy explanation. For nearly three years, a radiant woman appeared above a church in Cairo, Egypt. Police officers saw her. Physicians examined the reported healings. Journalists documented the events. Government officials launched investigations. Authentic photographs were taken. Yet more than half a century later... No widely accepted natural explanation exists.

Robert was a young man struggling to make it on his own when in 1990, he suffered a violent and traumatic experience when someone put a bullet through his brain. Robert tells the amazing story of survival during a time when life shriveled to dark emptiness and his future seemed hopeless.

This book shifts the paradigm around grit away from accomplishments to a far more attainable and pleasing end: life satisfaction, which results in a deep, abiding, and overarching sense of contentment with life. A Practical Approach to Life Satisfaction argues that constantly striving to pursue accolades is more likely to drive individuals into the ground instead of leading them to fulfillment. However, when grit works together with emotional intelligence, it can yield marked improvements in life satisfaction.
