The more complacent, the more opportunity you have to change your life. I hope to change your perspective about complacency. In order to really solve complacency, you have to really understand what the true core of your complacency is and begin to call it out for what it is. Many times, people may think they can set goals, take some time off to regroup, and it may work...temporarily. Too often than not, the feeling comes back. It’s time to stop using band-aid type approaches to fix complacency.

Over the last several decades, Americans have become increasingly aware that the people of this nation no longer determine its destiny, despite the intentions our founding fathers made clear in our founding documents. The two-party system has become a weapon used by those in power to maintain the dysfunctional status quo in Washington and on Wall Street. This system has revealed itself to be steeped in corruption, covert agendas, and a fast-evolving surveillance state.

I was raised on a farm/ranch in Dickens County, Texas, marched in the Fightin Texas Aggie Band, secretly courted a professor's daughter at Texas Tech from College Station, whom I married, and then received my B.S. degree from A&M and worked as an Assistant County Agent until I entered and worked my way through law school, practiced civil litigation and criminal defense law for 40+ years, raised four talented rambunctious kids and survived 54 years of wedded bliss.
