The last decade’s worth of my poetic output all in one set of covers? 247 poems? Wow, literally two hundred and forty seven poem! Although this collection includes complete copies of all the books of mine which were published in the last decade, there are also some poems in here which have never been published before, now made public for the first time in this book. These have been marked * so you know which ones they are.

In 2026 I revisited this collection to update it, remaining mindful I wrote these poems from the perspective that plant-based eating is the only truly ethical choice; we must treasure and protect our beautiful planet; the Law of Attraction is an accepted reality; and what we feel, say and act upon creates the very life we lead. I feel my role as a poet is to mainly get out of my own way and allow the words to flow through me from my higher self or source.

Leading to his 'bride' for the night and him entertaining the entire audience on their final jaunt down the catwalk.

Stress is such a global issue. I had to do something about it. Yet what difference can one person make? Every time I see for myself the transformation someone has undergone through learning how to control their life, rather than events controlling them – I have my answer. And yet I am equally fully aware that all healing is essentially self-healing. In essence I am simply an informed person offering stress-busting modalities, allowing others to help themselves. A walk around Chester Walls attunes the poet to history, not the Roman past, rather his own past walking these very walls so many times before. Staying with the City of Chester, we find ourselves leaving in a fast train, to step off onto the platform at the iconic Crewe Railway Station. Spending time in Macclesfield sees us visiting the canal, talking a walk in the forest and finding ourselves remembering a legend.

These tales have been inspired and written about places I have visited in the evocative Red Rose County and the people I encountered along the way. Some of these are people I have met, others from the past brought to life once again through the power of words. This is a county I have come to know intimately over the decades, my first live poetry shows were right there in Lancashire and I actually lived within the Preston area when writing this collection. I always see my poetic tales as windows offering glimpses into a frozen moment of time, rather like seeds trapped within amber.
