This audiobook is narrated by an AI Voice. The plot of the book is almost identical to the story presented in the first three sonnets of the Fungi from Yuggoth. In other words, the protagonist in a peculiar bookstore purchases a book of extraordinary and dangerous power for a paltry sum of money...

The Call of Cthulhu is one of the most influential horror stories ever written, laying the foundation for what is now known as cosmic horror. First published in 1928, this short story by H. P. Lovecraft follows a fragmented investigation into a strange cult, a mysterious bas-relief, and disturbing accounts that point toward the existence of an ancient and incomprehensible entity. As the narrator assembles documents, testimonies, and reports, a terrifying realization begins to emerge: humanity is neither central nor safe in the universe it inhabits.

The Shadow over Innsmouth is a horror novella by American author H. P. Lovecraft, written in November-December 1931. It forms part of the Cthulhu Mythos, using its motif of a malign undersea civilization, and references several shared elements of the Mythos, including place-names, mythical creatures, and invocations. The Shadow over Innsmouth is the only Lovecraft story that was published in book form during his lifetime. The narrator is a student conducting an antiquarian tour of New England. He travels through the nearby decrepit seaport of Innsmouth.

Although he's best known for his weird fiction writings, for much of his literary life, H.P. Lovecraft considered himself primarily a poet. Fungi from Yuggoth is his most well-known work of poetry; in it, he combines his taste for cosmic horror with his appreciation of the antiquarian and seasons it with his inimitable dry, dark wit.

A young man’s journey takes him to a dilapidated sea-front town, rife with deformed characters and ungodly secrets. Can he escape the terrifying town with his life, or will the sinister residents of Innsmouth and their hellish allies drag him down to a horrid fate beneath the waves?

FNH Audio presents an unabridged reading of H.P. Lovecraft's classic tale "The Shadow Over Innsmouth". In 1927 the coastal town of Innsmouth was raided by police, federal agents and elements of the United States Navy. The town was cleared. Everyone was arrested yet none of the prisoners turned up in the prison system. One man who knew the reason for the raid was sworn to secrecy. He knew the deep secrets of ancient Innsmouth, had seen the horrors that lurked within and barely escaped with his life.

The unnamed narrator of the story goes into the middle of the Arabian Peninsula to seek out and enter a lost city. After hearing a clanging seemingly coming from deep inside the earth, the narrator inspects mysterious carvings and ruins until nightfall. The next day, the narrator discovers a cliff riddled with low-ceilinged buildings, unfit for human use. While he attends to his suddenly nervous camel, the narrator discovers a somewhat larger temple, with altars, painted murals, and a small staircase going down.

A chilling collection of classic cosmic horror that explores humanity’s terrifying place in an indifferent universe. Essential Cosmic Horror Story Collection brings together three unforgettable tales of the unknown: “The Colour Out of Space” by H. P. Lovecraft, “The Damned Thing” by Ambrose Bierce, and “The Man Who Found Out” by Algernon Blackwood.

This audiobook is narrated by an AI Voice. On a slope of Mount Maenalus in Arcadia, beside the ruins of an ancient villa, stands a single olive tree of monstrous and disquieting shape. Its branches form something uncomfortably like a human figure, and the peasants will not go near it after dark...

"The Complete Works of H.P. Lovecraft contains all the original stories which Lovecraft wrote as an adult. It begins in 1917 with "The Tomb" and ends in 1935 with his last original work "The Haunter of the Dark." The book is ordered chronologically by the date the story was written.

In The Shadow Over Innsmouth, Lovecraft guides listeners into a decaying coastal town shrouded in mystery, where ancient pacts and unnatural beings have shaped generations. What begins as an innocent detour for a young traveler turns into a spiraling descent into horror, madness, and the terrifying realization of what lurks beneath the surface—both of the sea and of his own ancestry.

"The Last Test" is a revision by H. P. Lovecraft of Adolphe de Castro’s 1893 work, A SACRIFICE TO SCIENCE. The tale, which in this form first appeared in Weird Tales Magazine in November 1928, tells of the mystery surrounding the death of a renowned bacteriologist.

In this series we listen to short stories that are NOT by perhaps the most well-known author of this type. But the many other rich talents in the volume may have treated the subject matter a little differently, or were perhaps just overlooked in the stampede to applaud the winner, but these authors are of equal merit.
