When his arrival at Rendezvous proves disappointing, both in the meager supplies available and the lack of game throughout the area of Horse Creek and the Green River, a powerful earthquake drives him and his companions away. With a call for help from friends and family, Zach goes to the Shoshone village of Chief Spotted Elk. But danger lies in wait, and the Shoshone are forced to face off against their most hated enemy—the Blackfeet.
