And I have to work with the most arrogant, stubborn, untrustworthy jerk in Olympus to do so. Ares not only won’t teach me how to use my powers, he also keeps trying to steal them. And he's crossed a line that should be unforgivable.

Anger management isn’t so bad when your shrink is gorgeous. It’s less great when you turn up to find him dead on the floor, and an armored giant dressed like a freaking ancient warrior standing over his body, though. Ares, the God of War, has lost his power and the only way for him to get it back? Me. Apparently, I’m a goddess. One with the power of war. I mean, it does explain a lot.

I’m trapped in actual hell. And just about everything here is trying to kill me. Even the god who claims he once loved me has come pretty close to ending my life. But things are about to change. I’m fed up of being Persephone - human underdog in the Hades Trials. I’ve managed to awaken a little bit of the goddess inside me, and now I have power, I’m not afraid to use it. Although I don’t actually have a clue how to.

I've been kidnapped by Zeus. Plucked from the streets of Manhattan and frightened half to death by a freaking Olympian god. And now I'm trapped in the Underworld, being forced to compete in a series of deadly trials for the position of Queen of the Underworld. We have to follow a series of clues across some of the most dangerous parts of Olympus, to try and free a Titan trapped by the Lord of the Olympians himself. And even more confusing, my absent mom has finally decided to show up. It's not going to be easy, but it's the only way we can save the souls that were stolen by the demon that I let loose. My mistake cost innocent people their souls. And now I'm the only one who can fix it.

So, it turns out Titan power is pretty awesome. Only I can’t control my new gift and that’s not only embarrassing but also dangerous. And I’m sure our new professor is one of the two demons I accidentally let loose in Olympus. Icarus says we should lay low for a while but every time Professor Neos flashed me those red eyes I want to challenge him. And when students start collapsing to the ground with their souls stolen, I don’t have a choice but to act.

Titans have powers that even Zeus, Lord of the Olympians, is scared of. And apparently, I’m a Titan. When I finally meet my mom for the first time ever, she tells me that I’m descended from the almighty Oceanus, drags me under the sea, and dumps me at Olympus Academy to learn to use my powers. And boy, did she forget to tell me a few things!

Maddy dachte, sie wüsste genau, was ihren Tod verursachen würde. Jetzt ist die Liste so lang, dass es unmöglich ist, es vorauszusehen. Die vielleicht größte Gefahr? Kain. Meine Fae-Magie funktioniert nicht, und niemand weiß, dass ich existiere. Meine Schwester hingegen ist auf dem Weg zu großem Ruhm. Sie wurde auserwählt, in den mythischen Federklingenhallen zur Walküre ausgebildet zu werden. Doch als die Walküren kommen, um meine Schwester abzuholen, nehmen sie mich mit.

Es sieht so aus, als ob der Olymp viel gefährlicher ist, als ich dachte. Nachdem ich ein fliegendes Piratenschiff ergattert habe, das einst dem verschollenen Herrscher Oceanus gehört hatte, verlasse ich die Akademie und begebe mich auf ein Abenteuer. Und ich breche nicht allein auf. Meine Freunde Ikarus, Zali und Thom kommen auch mit. Doch in einer seltsamen Wendung der Ereignisse kommen auch zwei der Leute aus der Akademie mit, die mich am meisten hassen.

Eigentlich hätten Reynas Freunde am Schattenhof in Sicherheit sein sollen, doch ihre Feinde sind überall. Und wenn Mazrith ihr nicht verzeiht, wird auch er bald dazugehören. Obwohl sie sich das Gegenteil wünscht, wächst Reynas Verlangen nach dem Prinzen unaufhaltsam an, bis es genauso stark ist wie ihr Wunsch, die Spiele zu gewinnen und den Stab zu finden, der seinen Fluch brechen kann. Bald wird sie jedoch herausfinden, wer er wirklich ist und was er ihr verheimlicht – und dann wird nichts mehr so sein, wie bisher.

Die Kraft eines Titanen ist episch. Nur kann ich meine neue Gabe noch nicht kontrollieren und das ist nicht nur peinlich, sondern auch gefährlich. Und ich bin mir sicher, dass unser neuer Professor einer der beiden Dämonen ist, die ich versehentlich auf den Olymp losgelassen habe. Ikarus sagt, dass wir für eine Weile die Füße stillhalten sollen, aber jedes Mal, wenn Professor Neos mich mit seinen roten Augen ansieht, will ich ihn zum Kampf herausfordern. Und als die Schüler einer nach dem anderen aus den Latschen kippen, weil ihre Seelen gestohlen wurden, habe ich keine andere Wahl als zu handeln.

Ich heiße Pandora und anscheinend bin ich ein Titan. Und ich hatte nicht die geringste Ahnung. Als ich meine Mutter endlich zum ersten Mal treffe, erzählt sie mir, dass ich vom allmächtigen Titanen Oceanus abstamme, verschleppt mich zum Grund des Meeres und setzt mich an der Olympus-Akademie ab, damit ich lerne, meine Kräfte einzusetzen. Und Junge, ein paar Dinge hat sie wohl vergessen zu erwähnen. Anscheinend bin ich, neben dem wunderschönen und mysteriösen Ikarus, der einzige Titan an der Akademie. Alle anderen sind Olympier. Und Zeus, der Herr des Olymps, hasst Titanen. Er wird alles tun, um uns von der Akademie zu vertreiben.
