Chrys has been in the Underworld for thousands of years, hidden away by her father Hades from all the other gods. He's afraid that if someone finds out about her, they will destroy her because of the dichotomous power that she holds - the power of life and death. So, she has remained in the Palace of Hades all her life, making very little friends and always bored out of her mind.

Now it is time to figure out who I really am. A year has passed since we were all on Sanshli. My idiot brother decided to pull out the sword and now we were stuck in the past, all in new bodies. She feels all alone in a new world, surrounded by gods who are selfish and out to get her. Will she be able to last long enough for Huntley and the others to find her? Or will she take matters into her own hands?

Meredith Alice Hughes has found herself falling through a portal and into Wonderland. There, she finds some of her classmates, who are actually fictional characters from Lewis Carroll’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”, and they use a potion to make her forget everything.

After having been attacked by Gabe's father, the group has decided to go into hiding in the mountains. Although it is still summer, the mountains are cold, isolated, and dangerous. They feel it is still the safest place to be—that is, until they find other people hiding in the region. Who are these people and are they friends or foes?
