Like the Tarot or the I Ching, Soul Seeds can be used as an interactive oracular tool by posing a question, then listening to the book to see what fresh insight may be gleaned. As Laura Huxley says in her Foreword, "Not only are you reading richly imagined poetry, but if you apply any of these 'soul seeds' you will have a deep awakening..." Experience these 'soul seeds' as psycho-spiritual meditations and they may bring about a transformation greater than many hours of therapy.

In Conversation is a personal milestone in Janice Whyne's journey of rediscovering her creative self. She sees poetry as a means of self-expression. A conduit and a safe space for our emotions, feelings and lived experiences. The poems in In Conversation began their lives with a word(s) exchanged in conversation or that captured her attention in something she was listening to or viewing. She regards them as articulations of the said and unsaid, with the poetic voice in them not always hers but rather an expression or interpretation of the voice(s) of others.

James Allen (1864 - 1912) was an evangelist for the emerging New Thought movement and wrote over twenty books that explored many aspects of his universalist philosophy. Many of James Allen's prose works contain snippets of verse, which are generally devotional and reflective. A significant number of these poetic excerpts were composed by Allen himself. This collection, which was first published in 1907, contains 37 short poems, illustrative of Allen's idiosyncratic views of the spiritual path and the personal search for truth.

Everything about the gospel message leads to the cross, and proceeds from the cross. In fact, within the narrative of Scripture, the crucifixion of Jesus is literally the crux of the story—the axis upon which the biblical story turns. But it would be a mistake to think we could sum up the significance of the crucifixion in a tidy sentence or two. That kind of thinking only insulates us from the magnificence of what God has done. In our ongoing quest to make meaning of the cross, we need to recognize that this conversation will never conclude-that there is always something more to be said.

This book will be different, but unique. For my poetry is real and somewhat sheik. They’re all short stories about my past. Family, loved ones, and dreams that couldn’t last. Freedom of speech {so called} I am blunt. I can write about anything and everything I want. Fighting for life, children, and my rights has been a hassle.

Various poetry, ranging from silly to serious.
