Ernest McMillan began writing essays and short stories in earnest while imprisoned for his work as a Civil Rights activist. Ranging from commentaries on society to short stories and poetry, these pieces reflect the experiences of a fugitive, revolutionary spirit. This collection of poetry and short stories exists in tandem with Standing, a memoir of McMillan's experiences as a human rights activist. From the particular to the universal, Kneeling meditates on how precious and invaluable it is to sit still, to reflect, and go to one’s interior and feast on what truly matters.

Yogananda said Whispers from Eternity was one his favorite pieces of writing. He urged his followers to read and listen to it when he was gone from this world in order to reconnect with him in the dream world. In it he urges his students to demand when praying and live the prayer as if already realized. So in some ways Whispers From Eternity are his lessons in prayer as he share his own sacred prayers.

Experience these 'soul seeds' as psycho-spiritual meditations and they may bring about a transformation greater than many hours of therapy.

In Conversation is a personal milestone in Janice Whyne's journey of rediscovering her creative self. She sees poetry as a means of self-expression. A conduit and a safe space for our emotions, feelings and lived experiences. The poems in In Conversation began their lives with a word(s) exchanged in conversation or that captured her attention in something she was listening to or viewing. She regards them as articulations of the said and unsaid, with the poetic voice in them not always hers but rather an expression or interpretation of the voice(s) of others.

A poetry book containing 65 transformative poems.

James Allen (1864 - 1912) was an evangelist for the emerging New Thought movement and wrote over twenty books that explored many aspects of his universalist philosophy. Many of James Allen's prose works contain snippets of verse, which are generally devotional and reflective. A significant number of these poetic excerpts were composed by Allen himself. This collection, which was first published in 1907, contains 37 short poems, illustrative of Allen's idiosyncratic views of the spiritual path and the personal search for truth.

Everything about the gospel message leads to the cross, and proceeds from the cross. In fact, within the narrative of Scripture, the crucifixion of Jesus is literally the crux of the story—the axis upon which the biblical story turns. But it would be a mistake to think we could sum up the significance of the crucifixion in a tidy sentence or two. That kind of thinking only insulates us from the magnificence of what God has done. In our ongoing quest to make meaning of the cross, we need to recognize that this conversation will never conclude-that there is always something more to be said.
