Ihr Ziel ist es Planeten zu suchen, die die Sonne Pollux umkreisen sollen. Sie finden zwei Planeten und treffen auf Roboter, die einst von Menschen erbaut worden waren. Diese Robots, die auf noch nie dagewesene Selbstständigkeit programmiert worden waren, kämpfen gerade um die Macht.

Symbolox, ein aus unvergänglicher Ur-Materie bestehendes Roboter-Wesen hat schon unzählige Lebensformen kommen und gehen sehen. Er hat auch den Zolariern, die ein friedliches Volk sind, geholfen, als ihr Planet von dem bösen Black Devil von Vulkania beinahe völlig zerstört worden wäre. Mit einer einzigartigen List gelang es ihm, Zolaris und Vulkania zu vertauschen, sodass Black Devil tatsächlich seinen eigenen Planeten angegriffen hat und die gesamte Oberfläche vernichtet hat.
