Henry V is a study of kingship, patriotism, and heroic determination tempered by tender comedy as Henry courts Katherine, princess of France. Henry, the noble and courageous young king of England, decides to invade France, believing he has a rightful claim to the throne. At Agincourt he leads his army into battle against the powerful French forces and, against all the odds, wins a famous victory.

Composed sometime in 1613-14, The Two Noble Kinsmen is the final play in Shakespeare's dramatic career.

Henry Bonaventure Monnier naît à Paris en 1805. Personnage truculent du 19e siècle, il va exercer son talent et sa verve dans les domaines artistiques les plus divers. Se révélant très doué pour le dessin, il quitte à 16 ans son emploi de petit gratte-papier chez un notaire pour aller travailler dans des ateliers célèbres, notamment celui du peintre Gros, qu'il doit bientôt quitter en raison de son esprit gouailleur et mystificateur. Pour se venger d'un Sganarelle buveur, roublard et fainéant, son épouse, Martine, le fait passer pour un grand médecin, mais si fantasque qu'il faut le bastonner pour qu'il accepte d'exercer son art. Affublé malgré lui de ces nouvelles compétences, Sganarelle comprend rapidement l'intérêt qu'il peut tirer de cette situation et se prend au jeu. À grands coups de latin et de ruse, notre médecin de pacotille réussira-t-il à tromper son monde jusqu'au bout ?

Bien moins connue que "Le Parfum", cette autre œuvre de Patrick Süskind nous raconte le plongeon vers la solitude et la folie d'un contrebassiste. Instrument imposant et puissant, il est selon le musicien essentiel à tout orchestre digne de ce nom. Il nous décrit avec passion les liens qui les unissent, humanisant à l'extrême l'objet musical de son désir. Mais on découvre au fil du spectacle que derrière cette fascination absolue, se cache une haine à l'encontre de cette contrebasse, encombrante et envahissante, car bientôt l'éloge pompeux laisse affleurer les frustrations et les rancœurs du musicien et de l'homme.

Tom Jones, a foundling, is brought up by the kindly Mr. Allworthy as if he were his own son. Forced to leave the house as a young man after tales of his disgraceful behavior reach his benefactor's ears, he sets out in utter despair, not only because of his banishment but because he has now lost all hope of gaining the hand of the beautiful Sophia. But she too is forced to flee her parental home to escape an undesirable marriage and their stories and adventures intertwine.
