Angus Watson, author of the Age of Iron trilogy, visits the Audible Studios with actor and narrator Sean Barrett, the narrator of Watson's Age of Iron trilogy and latest book, You Die When You Die. Sean is a prolific narrator and has nearly 300 titles listed on the Audible website.

Stephen has been performing at the Edinburgh Festival for over 15 years on top of touring, appearing on multiple panel shows and presenting various documentaries. Not to mention performing at the Royal Variety in 2007. Having more than earnt his comedy stripes, his Talk Show features guests from all stages of their comedy careers, chatting about the industry, performing and many personal, funny anecdotes. Joining us in the Audible Studios to talk about his latest book of verse, Essex Clay, is lauded British poet, biographer and novelist Andrew Motion. Andrew Motion was the former President of the Campaign to Protect Rural England and Poet Laureate of the United Kingdom from 1999 to 2009. His career has seen him publish numerous collections of award-winning poetry, including Natural Causes (1987) and Dangerous Play (1984), and his revered biography, In the Blood. June 2018 saw Motion publish his second biographical sequence, Essex Clay.

Joining us in the studio to talk about his latest book, Rebel Ideas, is British table tennis Olympian, author, journalist and broadcaster Matthew Syed. Known for being the ping-pong guy from popular sports podcast Flintoff, Savage and the Ping Pong Guy, Matthew Syed started his career as a table tennis player, competing in two Olympic games, and was ranked as a top player in England for 10 years. Since then, Matthew moved on to a career in journalism, writing a column in The Times and broadcasting on the BBC and Eurosport.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Professor Richard Wiseman, Britain’s first Professor of the Public Understanding of Psychology. His newest book, Shoot for the Moon, gives listeners eight key principles on how to live their lives with the same mind-set of the Apollo mission crew, who put a man on the moon. He explains how pessimism is key to success and how you can transform fear into hope and tragedy into optimism.

Joining us in the Audible Studios to talk about her narration of Jessie Burton’s The Restless Girls is BAFTA Award-winning British actress Thandie Newton. Known for her starring roles in films such as Crash and Mission: Impossible 2, Thandie Newton has had an accomplished career onscreen. Acclaimed for her role as Maeve Millay in HBO series Westworld, for which she earned a Golden Globe nomination, and her role in BBC One drama Line of Duty, for which she received a TV BAFTA nomination, Thandie now narrates the audiobook of Jessie Burton’s The Restless Girls.

Brigid Keenan joins Robin Morgan in the Audible Studios to discuss her incredible life and the writing that documents it.

She has recently released Breaking and Mending, a memoir of her life as a junior doctor. Cannon walks us through the wards, from attending her first postmortem to sitting beside a patient as they passed away. The small acts of kindness and connection that intersperse hospital life taught Cannon that the heartbeat is not the only essential part of a human being - emotional care and mental health are also critical.

Best known as a professional dancer on BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing since the show’s conception in 2004, Du Beke has also been a familiar face on British shows such as Hole in the Wall and has now published his debut novel, One Enchanted Evening. Anton Du Beke talks to us about how he created the book, how Strictly has evolved over the years and if everyone really can dance.
