In this video, Elijah Ford joins me to figure out which Vancouver Canucks are forcing their way into bigger roles just four games into the season. Paul Cotter is already exceeding expectations, Max Sasson is earning tough matchups, and the lineup we imagined a month ago is starting to look different.

I also ask Elijah how much of Elias Pettersson’s early improvement looks real. There’s plenty to like, but four games probably isn’t enough for me to start yelling that he’s back. Probably.

The conversation gets into where Jonathan Lekkerimäki belongs, how Filip Chytil’s availability affects the centre depth, and which young defenceman has impressed Elijah most.

In this clip from my conversation with Hockey Psychology, Anthony tells me how he built his channel and why more hockey fans now turn to independent creators for analysis. We also talk about copyright claims that blocked his videos and how the NHL could give creators clearer rules while protecting game rights.

In this episode, I’m joined by Canucks Army’s Dave Hall to talk about whether the Vancouver Canucks are taking the right approach with their prospects. We get into why Braeden Cootes belongs in Abbotsford, whether junior hockey can be “too easy” for Adam Novotný, and what Jonathan Lekkerimäki needs to show beyond his shot.

Dave also explains why Alexei Medvedev is a prospect to watch this year, what makes Yaroslav Bryzgalov so intriguing, and the question Anthony Romani still needs to answer.
