このコンテンツについて

This is a podcast about healing after divorce through self-talk therapy, reacquainting one's self with creativity, and experiencing life after being with someone for a very long time.

If so inclined, please give Jon a Dollar through Patreon, or Kofi. Updates MWF, sometimes more casually, but always at that lovely part of the evening, upon the eastern time of 8:49, that prime meridian of being open to the divine, whether it be ours, yours, or mine.

This is what happens when a creative shares the rawness of the artistic process, where ideas gather in thought and introspection, as the world once known has become unknown, and everything feels new, yet wildly unsettling and right, freeing yet still a darkness seeking light.

Jon Desjardins portrays himself as he was and who he is becoming, fresh from a divorce where he kept himself small, where he kept himself quiet, perhaps out of no one's fault but his own, perhaps because he's an idealist, with simple, big, dumb, and/or horny thoughts like being married to someone forever and ever, but with grace, charm, understanding, passion, and romance, and all the other things you dream of with such thinking.

In this podcast, he is determined to understand the faults, the loss, the loves of this world, enjoying every bit with quests, jokes, ideas, stories, songs, desperate wants of cares, monies, and affections, all through the spirit of positive affirmations, dreams, and self-reflection... while replaying Sitting Waiting Wishing by Jack Johnson in his head over and over again.

Welcome, dear guest, to Life in the Jon

Rolling Stones strongly has nothing to do with this, but Jon is pretty sure they'd say this is a "tour de force of human spirit," and the The New Yorker would say something pithy like, "It's pretty great," and only the sexiest of local papers would praise as "an incredible work of art, championing vulnerability and real life at play."

  • How to talk about things, and more! pt 6
    2025/05/24

An ongoing series for the month May.

There is a talking about things! Enjoy them... will there be love? will be there be songs? will there be something oddly right? will there be some stupid shit being said? Will there be explorations into one's own censorship? Will there be awkward moments of self-realization? will there be jokes? Is this all a joke?

Will there be cringe? Maybe, baby, but can you dig it?

*these are not in chronological order, dates and times, and world and lives are all made up and fictitious. All references are merely coincidental, and are most related to an alternate reality where all of these things are totally cool to talk about in an open, free manner, for the discovering of thought, healing, process, and love.
